Gratitude Junk Journal Day 9

 Hi Everyone.

Gratitude Junk Journal Day 9 had a quote prompt - "Enough" is a Feast.

Here's my page of a bird and some winter berries.

I started with a layer of collaged teabags, then used a palette knife to apply some pale turquoise acrylic paint. I sketched the tree branches with walnut ink, and added the bird and berries using oil crayons. I finished with the quote, pencil scribbles and outlines, and some white paint splashes.

I'm linking to Leah's Art Every Day Month challenge Day 14, and Chris' All Kinds Of Weather theme at Art Journal Journey.

Wishing you all a happy Sunday,

Alison

  1. I was enthralled to see those tea bags in action. I sure need to get some of mine out and use them. Your choice of exploring this prompt was wonderful. Those berries are amazing and so is your bird. Of course, I always love your tasteful splatters, too. I am also glad you shared this with us using Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey. Hope your Sunday is going great, too.

  2. What a great blackbird. That is surely
A fest, and the red adds such lovely
Color contrast. Thanks for sharing this fall feeling piece at AJJ. Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs Erika

  3. I love your take on this prompt Alison, I read the prompt this morning but haven't done anything for it yet. I liked her story about her husband. I can think of lots of things that I have more than enough of, probably too much! Really love the teabag background and the berries in the tree, that bird is definitely in for a feast! Happy AEDM!
