100 Days of Watercolour - 66-72

 Hello All.

Here are another week of my watercolour artworks for The 100 Day Project. Most of them have had the rock salt treatment.

Day 66 - Carrying on with my botanical doodles

Day 67

Day 68

Day 69 - Thought I'd try a mandala.

Day 70

Day 71 - I used a stencil with watercolour paint on this one. I tried it with a brush at first, which was a disaster, and ended up using a make-up sponge. It was difficult to get much paint on though, as it got sucked into the sponge, but it worked eventually.

Day 72 - Went back to my doodles 😁

Thanks so much for coming to visit today.

Art Journal Advent 2021 - Days 16-19

Hello Everyone. I hope you're all well, and have some pre-Christmas treats planned for this week. I have my usual walks planned, but they are always a treat whatever the weather.

Today I have a few more pages to share for Michelle and Tamara's Art Journal Advent Challenge.

Day 16 - Scent. I sketched some lavender. I remember my Gran telling me to put lavender oil on my pillow to help me sleep better. My guinea pig Elliott enjoys munching on lavender too.

Day 17 - To Grow. I created a mandala which grew out from the teabag in the centre of my page.

Day 18 - Meaningful. The Nativity is the true meaning of Christmas for me. I used a Christmas card I received as a reference for my sketch. I used gold watercolour paint for the halos.

Day 19 - The Power of Love. I used some of my hoarded 7 Gypsies patterned papers.

I printed and cut out some photos of my family to insert in the stamped hearts.

Thanks for visiting me today.

Art Reboot - Part Two

Hi Everyone!

Thank goodness it's Friday! I've had quite the week.

A doctor's appointment on Tuesday, to get my elbow and a small mole on my neck checked out. Photos of the mole are being sent to dermatology to be checked out (faster than trying to get an appointment!), and it turns out I have tennis elbow, or crochet elbow in my case I think. No crochet for me for the foreseeable future 😔

I had my eye check up on Wednesday, three new pairs of glasses. Not too expensive, but bad enough.

Then yesterday, I went to get a toothache checked out by the dentist, and ended up with having a root canal. So I'm on the paracetamol now, and hoping it'll settle down soon.

Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering where my Art Reboot pages are, so here we go.

Day 4 - Add some simple geometric shapes to the page.

I added some stamped and cut out butterflies for Mia's Butterfly theme at Art Journal Journey. I couldn't resist a few paint splatters too.

Day 5 - For the final day, we were told to go for a walk and collect some things from nature to put on a page. I picked a few wild flowers on our early morning walk on the golf course, and created a petal mandala on a painted background. I added some teabag papers around the edges, and finished with some journaling.

Thanks for bearing with me as I poured out my troubles! Hope you have a good weekend.
