AJJ - When It's Hot
Hi Everyone! I have another page to share for Erika's When It's Hot theme at Art Journal Journey. For some reason, new Blogger's linking isn't working, so here's the link to the challenge (hopefully!): https://art-journal-journey.blogspot.com/2020/07/when-its-hot.html

Kasia's Advent Calendar - Day 9 - Breathe
Here's my page for Kasia's Advent Calendar Day 9, the theme was Breathe.
We were asked to do simple breathing exercise and meditation, breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, and breathe out for 8 counts. Then to make a some art. I started with a book page from a bird book, then used my fingers to apply paint. I used a pinecone to make white marks, my finger to make green ones on RH side. I used Dina Wakley Scribble sticks for writing and red marks, and splatters of dark blue. A black gel pen was used to highlight words and add scribbles.
Thanks for the visit,
Alison xx

Collage Wishes
Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I did a simple collage art journal page, so I found a few scraps in my paper scrap box, and put this one together for Eileen's Dreams/Wishes theme at Art Journal Journey.
I used Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks to draw circles and add watery splashes. You might just be able to spot part of the word Turquoise on the square of book page under the big circle. It was from The Turquoise by Anya Seton, and it inspired the colours I chose.
Have a happy one!

AJJ - Anything With Eyes
Morning Folks!
Here's another page for Gill's Anything With Eyes theme at Art Journal Journey.
A layer of gesso, then DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics blues and green gold, then face sketched with Dina Wakley Night Scribble Stick, activated with a wet paintbrush. Finished with black Bombay India Ink scribbles and outlines, then splashes of black ink and white Posca Paint Pen.
I'm linking up to Try It On Tuesday's Splatters and Splodges challenge also.
Wishing you all a creative Monday,
Alison xox
