Hello All.
This time of year it's so hard to get motivated, but I'm getting there, and I decided to join in with Marie-Josee Brillon's 28 Hearts February challenge on Instagram.
Here are my first week's hearts.
Day 1 - Cut from a gelliprint. I used my hand-carved heart stamps on the gelliplate.
Hello All.
The February challenges have come to an end, and here are my Week 4 water colour hearts on teabags.
I'm going to continue making some kind of water colour art every day, for this year's 100 Day Project, which started a couple of weeks ago. So watch this space.
Now onto my 20th and final page for my February Journal Recipe Instagram collaboration with Shilpa, and today's prompts are...
Colour - Purple
Shape - Zigzag
Technique 1 - Use magazine text
Technique 2 - Paint some black circles
I'm linking my page to Elizabeth & Bleubeard's What's Your Style theme at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks so much for visiting me today,
Alison
Hello All.
It's Day 13 of my February Journal Recipe collaboration with Shilpa, and here are today's prompts...
Colour - Navy Blue
Shape - Teardrops or Raindrops
Technique 1 - Apply paint with your fingers
Technique 2 - Make marks around border with pen or pencil
After gluing down some pieces of collage, I used my fingers to apply the Prussian Blue and Quinacridone Gold paint. I drew teardrops and outlined the page with black and white gel pens, then added my words. Oh yes, I also added some white paint splatters :D

And here are my watercolour heart teabags for Week 3 of the 28 Hearts Instagram challenge...
Hello All.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I have another week of watercolour hearts on teabags to share with you today.
And it's also day 6 of February Journal Recipe, my Instagram collaboration with Shilpa.
We have some Valentine's Day prompts for you today...
Colour - Red
Shape - Heart
Product - Crayons
Technique - Stencils
You must use at least 3 prompts.
Here's my page ...
I used my gelli plate and a stencil to create the turquoise background, then used a red Portfolio oil pastel crayon through a Carabelle Studio hearts stencil, adding black pen outlines and scribbled writing. The Tim Holtz Paper Doll couple stand on some fabric collage fodder, with a Tim Holtz phrase sticker.
