More Wanderlust Live

 Hello all.

I have some more art to share with you from the free Wanderlust Live taster classes.

Expressive Floral Art Journaling with Traci Bautista.

Incorporating Photos on your Art Journal Page with Jane Chipp.

Creating Collographs with Claudette Hasenjager.

I used a base of cardboard, with yarn, fun foam and lace. I used black acrylic paint to print.

Angel Collograph created with yarn. My first attempt.

A quirky woman Collograph created with fun foam, lace, and a tiny piece of yarn for her chin.

I've nearly finished the classes. Just 4 more to go, so hopefully I can do them soon.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me.

Wanderlust Live Day 3 with Iris Fritschi-Cussons

 Hello All.

I've been a very bad blogger lately, although I have been making art, and continuing with the Wanderlust Live free taster sessions. They are still available on the Everything Art website if you want to jump in.

Did I mention that I recently had a holiday in Derbyshire, and the Everything Art shop was in the next town? I had to visit of course, and I met a lovely lady called Rachel that I met through Instagram there. And we also met the talented owner Kasia Avery, who is every bit as lovely as she appears in her videos. It was definitely a highlight of the holiday. Well that and the badgers we saw each night outside of our cottage 😊 😍 We stayed on a farm, and the farmer put out peanuts for the badgers every evening.

Anyway, I digress! Here is an intuitive art journal page I made for Iris Fritschi-Cussons' second Wanderlust Live class.

I'm linking this spread to Try It On Tuesday's Autumn challenge.

Thanks for visiting,

Art Reboot

 Hello All!

I found another freebie art course on Instagram! This is a short one from Kasia Avery of Everything Art, with 5 days of prompts plus a short video to inspire.

Day one was to list 6-8 things we were grateful for that day.

Day two was about finding time to play and embracing the ugly. We were asked to paint and make marks with an old toothbrush.

And today, Day three, we were asked what flower would we be and why. I chose a simple no frills daisy. I love the simple things in life.

I added a few butterflies for Mia's Butterfly theme at Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for dropping by,

Soothe Me Art Journaling Day Four

Hello lovely followers!

Here's my art journal page for day 4 of Kasia's Soothe Me Art Journaling challenge.

This page started with a wash of yellow watercolour, then I sketched the vines with a Stabilo all surface black pencil. I used a wet paintbrush to remove colour from the leaves, then added orange watercolour marks, then outlines and journaling with a black Sakura gel pen.

Hope you're having a happy and creative day,

Everything Art Wanderlust 2017 - One Collage Challenge

Hi Everyone!

Everything Art's Wanderlust 2017 Class is coming to an end. I haven't managed to keep up with the fortnightly classes very well, but I did finish the monthly One Collage Challenge. We worked on a single collage piece throughout the year, with monthly prompts.

This was my collage before the final scary step...

To finish, we were told to cut our collage up, then rearrange the pieces in our art journal, adding a 'poem' of sentences we had found in a book.

I'm celebrating the end of this wonderful challenge, so I shall link my artwork to Sheila's challenge at Art Journal Journey.

Happy Monday!

Wanderlust 2017 - Week 19 - Kate Crane part two

Hi Everyone!

I have another grid page to share, inspired by the second part of Kate Crane's Wanderlust class. This time I had to get my sewing machine out. I rather like this effect - I must try it on some teabags :-)

Kate added a butterfly on her page. I found some sweet butterfly girlies for mine.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Wanderlust 2017 - Week 19 - Kate Crane part one

Hello Everyone!

I'm gradually working my way through Wanderlust, and now I'm up to week 19. Kate Crane's class is a two-parter, so here's my version of her first grid-based piece.

It's all about making time to play :-)

Happy Sunday!

Wanderlust Week 18 - Dyan Reaveley

Happy Friday Everyone!

Here are two pages I made from following Dyan Reaveley's class for Everything Art's Wanderlust online course. Dyan's style is so recognisable, bright and colourful, and I love it!

I've used Dina Wakley, Crafter's Workshop, and Stencil Girl stencils and masks.

Wishing you a fab weekend,

Another HeArt Journal Page

Hi Everyone!

Today I did a page in my little 7x5" journal, inspired by Kasia's week 17 class on Wanderlust, where she asked us to go small. As I looked back in my journal after I'd finished, I noticed that my last three pages have hearts as the focal point. It surprised me a little. Anyway, here's today's page...

My page started with some splatters of Glimmer Mist, then I added a vanilla chai teabag paper. This smelt very good every time I used my heat gun! I'd had to trim my 'Peace' page to fit into another journal, so I cut up the strips and glued them down. Then I added a cut out heart, and out-lined with blue Gelatos. All wrong, so I removed the heart, then filled in the space with red Gelato and Aged Scarlet Frantage embossing enamel. Much better! I finished with doodles and splatters. The writing reads..."wherever you go, go with all your heart".

Everything Art Live Adventure Art Journaling

Hello Everyone!

Last night, Everything Art's Kasia Avery hosted a live art journaling session on Facebook. At the beginning of the play, she asked us to message different prompts to use during our play session. I suggested tearing circles out of a magazine to adhere to the page. Kasia used 20 of the prompts in total, and this is how my page turned out. I love it!!!

As I have some words on it, I'm linking my page to Art Journal Journey's Poetry in Motion Challenge.

I had a lovely day today, catching up with lots of friends at the Stamperama stamp show, now I'm off to get some supper, and watch the 2015 film of Far From The Madding Crowd, which is one of my favourite books!

Wishing you all a happy Sunday Evening,

Daisy Yellow ICAD Challenge - Week Two

I'm absolutely loving this challenge, it's really inspiring me to create every day! Amazing inspiration too, from everyone taking part. So, here are my daily ICADs from week two...

Just want to add that my heart and prayers go out to all those involved in the horrific West London tower block fire today. Another tragedy for London!
