February Journal Recipe Day 13 and Week 3 of 28 Hearts

 Hello All.

It's Day 13 of my February Journal Recipe collaboration with Shilpa, and here are today's prompts...

Colour - Navy Blue

Shape - Teardrops or Raindrops

Technique 1 - Apply paint with your fingers

Technique 2 - Make marks around border with pen or pencil

After gluing down some pieces of collage, I used my fingers to apply the Prussian Blue and Quinacridone Gold paint. I drew teardrops and outlined the page with black and white gel pens, then added my words. Oh yes, I also added some white paint splatters :D

I linking my page to Elizabeth & Bleubeard's What's your style theme at Art Journal Journey.

And here are my watercolour heart teabags for Week 3 of the 28 Hearts Instagram challenge...

Wishing you a great new week.

Thanks for dropping by,

Alison

  2. Blue and orange work so well together, don't they? Especially when you use a small amount of orange surrounded by the dark blue. It's like a fire flame. Thanks for sharing this at AJJ for Elizabeth's challenge. And nice hearts. You'll have lots of them to add to your art after this month winds up. Happy new week Alison. Hugs-Erika

  4. That Quinacridone Gold really shines on the book pages, Alison. Goes well with the Prussian Blue, too. This is another wonderful journal page using Bleubeard's and my theme at Art Journal Journey.

What can I say? Those hearts are swoon worthy. LOVE them with the tea bags.
