Hearts and Spring and Other Things!

Hello Folks. My art journal was feeling a bit neglected, so I'm back today with a page for Rosie's Spring Challenge at Art Journal Journey

I also have some Gelli Plate prints to share. Today, Birgit asked us to use 'Hearts'. I used stencils and also some paper heart masks I cut out.

As I passed my tortoises, I couldn't resist taking a photo of them queuing for a dip in the pool!

And finally, here are the beautiful flowers I received from my darling son yesterday. My backpacking daughter didn't neglect me, I had a lovely long video chat with her.

Hope you all had a great weekend,

Alison x

  1. I love your tortoises. What fun pets! You need a youtube channel for videos of their activities. I know I'd subscribe :) That's a beautiful bouquet!

  5. Love the bright coloured page and great background prints-cute tortoises we used to have one of the hardy ones in the 70's when pet shops used to have a window full of them-used to live in a cold frame in the garden with an upturned bin full of straw for a bed -had him for years--a great climber he was too!!!

  7. Those are gorgeous flowers. You lucky Mom. Nice that your daughter checked in also. Where is she hiking? I think you might have said Nepal? Loving all the art today too. Your spring journal page is so cheerful. We have a huge snowstorm coming in tomorrow so flowers in art is all I will be seeing for a bit. :) Hugs-Erika

  9. I can tell you LOVE flowers. First, the spring flowers you created in your journal are lovely. They make me have hope that spring is not just a memory or wishful thinking.

Second, the flowers you received are wonderful. Lucky you!

LOVED the gelli prints, too. I am a big fan of hearts, and use them a lot in my art. Enjoyed seeing the turtles in their habitat, too.

Thanks for sharing your fabulous art journal page with us at Art Journal Journey today, Alison.

  11. What a fabulous bright journal page! I love your heart prints too! How funny your tortoises look! Yes I had flowers too but events of the last week have kept me away from the computer a bit and when I did get there I totally forgot...does that make me a very bad mother?!! Hugs,Chrisx
