Tradition

Hello all. I have another page for Tracey's The Meaning Of theme at Art Journal Journey. It's an abstract page, but when I was creating it, I was thinking about our Christmas traditions. We didn't manage to do many, if any, of them this year. Church services, baking with my daughter, shopping with my best friend, Boxing Day with family. I scribbled a few traditions around the circles on my page.

Thanks for visiting,

  1. I love this page Alison. I know what you mean about traditions. There were many I didn't do this year either. I baked cookies by myself, and my daughter and I never got our Christmas shopping for my husband, Just to name a couple. It's been tough in many ways. Thanks so much for sharing this at AJJ. You've been our star contributor this month. Take care. Hugs-Erika

  4. I miss all those fun things too, but did get to do a little baking with my oldest daughter - most of it now sitting on my hips! Love the balls, texture, colors and detail on these pages, Alison. Hugz

  5. Your latest journal entry got me thinking. I don't think I have any Christmas traditions. I've been alone for so long, it's hard to think of creating any. I know friends who have them, but they have not been able to fulfill them this year in order to stay safe. I used to spend Boxing Day shopping for after Christmas bargains, but haven't done that this year, either. I love your traditions that you normally share with your family. It's a truly gorgeous spread, very colorful, and so cleverly created. Thanks for yet another beautiful entry using Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

  6. It's those traditions that make Christmas to me, I'm the one who hosts and sorts and arranges everything it's left up to me, felt quite useless this year but least we have our memories and hope for better days to come.
It's a beautiful abstract spread, the kind I would choose for a notecard, bold, bright and full of life. Thanks for sharing another super piece.
    Hugs Tracey xx
