More Crafting With Gio Gio

Hi Everyone!

After a weekend of feeling very poorly after eating some unripe pineapple (who knew that would cause vomiting etc. for a whole day?!), I'm now caught up with my Instagram challenges and 366 Somethings.

Today I'm sharing my art for Giovanna's challenge.

Geometrics Galore (17 April) - I made a geometric bird art journal page, paper piecing with gel prints. I'm linking this page to Valerie's Geometric Shapes theme at Art Journal Journey.

Tag It (19 April) - I made a bundle of tags using my Gelli Plate.

Silhouette (21 April) - I used a couple of That's Crafty Stencils to decorate one of my gel printed tags. I'm linking my tag up to Tag Tuesday's Anything Goes Challenge.

I was feeling much much better today, and spent the morning cleaning out my guinea pigs and tortoises. Then I bathed the piggies and trimmed their nails, which was a challenge. I gave them lots of snuggles and some of their favourite treat parsley to make up for it.

Here's Angus...

and here's Elliott...

Hope you're all keeping safe and well, thanks for visiting,

Alison xox

  1. Lots of beautiful art today. Glad you are feeling better, too, sounds like you had a nasty day from that pineapple. I LOVE that geometric bird page, it's fabulous - great colours, too. And the tags are all great. I've never tried gelli-printing tags, must do it. Thanks so much for linking the lovely tag and your great page to my challenges at AJJ and Tag Tuesday, much appreciated. Your little furry friends are gorgeous, I didn't know that parsley was such a treat for them. They are so sweet! Have a nice evening, stay well and safe, hugs, Valerie

  7. Goodness, Alison, I never knew pineapple could do that, but it makes sense if it was bad. Glad you are feeling better and the little ones look quite happy after their baths and pedicures.

Those tags are brilliant. You will surely find a use for them, too. I'm super impress with how you have already used one. But of course, the bird has to be my favorite today. I absolutely adore it. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey, too.

  12. Hello Angus and Elliot, you do look nice and clean now. Alison I had no idea you had to clip their nails! Wow!
Love your geometric bird, that is a very clever thing to do, and your tags are super too, especially the silhouette one. Very cleverly done.
Sorry to hear about your full day of sickness, how horrid for you, glad it is over but it is a warning to us all, never eat unripened pineapple.
    Hugs, Neet xx
