Enormous Panties

Can you guess what film my latest journal page for Art Journal Journey is inspired by?

It's the fabulous Bridget Jones' Diary, one of my favourite books and films. I just love that scene where Daniel Cleaver discovers Bridget's wearing enormous pants, or 'panties' for those across the Pond 😁

I used magazine images, sheets of note paper, and some 7 Gypsies patterned paper. I thought that model looked uncannily like Renee Zellwegger, although a bit slimmer than her Bridget Jones character.

I think this may be my final page for my Play it again, Sam theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks to everyone who joined in, I know it was a tricky theme for some. I really enjoyed seeing your pages 😊

Hugs,

Alison

  4. What a great way to finish, loved both film and book, the huge pants scene make me giggle so much. I'm laughing at your collage Big Pants, so retro and the model really does look uncannily like RZ. Really wish i'd had more time to play and share, I've a huge reference list of films & movies now though thanks to you Alison.
Wishing you a super creative B/H weekend Hugs Tracey xx

  5. I love these films and books also. They are such fun, and the enormous panties were a dead give away. (Think I need to rewatch these; its been a year or so since I've seen them.) This is a fun page, and I'm glad you shared it. Hope the month is ending well for you. hugs-Erika

  7. Such a fun page and movie! I remember the quote too and I thought that the image was Renee Zellwegger - such a fabulous likeness πŸ˜€. I love the film too and when I lived down South I used to work near the village where some of this movie was filmed. I hope you're having a happy Friday and have a lovely weekend! Hugs Jo x

  9. I confess I've never seen that movie, so I'm slightly clueless. However, I am in awe of the fun way you decorated the page. If I had seen the movie, I'm sure I would "get it." this is a wonderful way to end your month here. You have beem an excellent host and a great inspiration, too. Thanks for sharing this wonderful final entry at Art Journal Journey using your theme, dear Alison.
