Handbags and Gladrags

 Hello All.

I have another art journal page to share today, for my Play It Again Sam theme at Art Journal Journey

This page is inspired by Mike D'Abo's brilliant song Handbags and Gladrags. He originally wrote it for Chris Farlowe, but it's been covered by Rod Stewart and The Stereophonics, all great versions. It's definitely one of my favourite songs.

Thanks for dropping by,

Alison

  5. This is a great page, but I don't recognize the title. I need to go check it out because I don't always remember titles to songs but I do remember the words and tune. Anyhow, I still enjoyed this fun page for your challenge at AJJ. hugs-Erika

  7. This is stunning. I SO like the way you created the images to match that song and its title. This is a wonderful entry for your theme at Art Journal Journey, dear Alison.

I am sorry I am not contributing right now to your theme at AJJ. I will do better later in the month, or so I hope.

  9. Fab page Alison illustrating your challenge at AJJ. I remember my mum calling things my 'gladrags' and this girl certainly knows how to dress and accessorise.

  10. I was sure I left you a comment earlier, Alison. If I didn't I'll try to remember what I thought I said before.

  11. Love the word gladrag, your journal model definitely has a great selection to choose from. A song with an unforgettable intro Rod Stewarts version is one that sticks out for me. Good choice Alison. Hugs Tracey x
P.S I got round to linking, had a wee family emergency that needed dealing with this morning x
