And they called it....

Puppy love was the first record that I bought myself. So long ago now, I was a huge Donny Osmond fan. I did eventually see him in concert, probably about ten years ago now. He was still dreamy...sigh...

Here's my art journal page inspired by that first single I bought. I'm linking it to my Play It Again, Sam theme at Art Journal Journey.

I used up a few pieces of collage fodder I had lying around. The main image is a Tim Holtz stamp, and I used my hand-carved heart stamp for the large hearts. I also stamped the hearts 3 times onto orange inky card, and cut out the centres, then offset these against the white hearts.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Alison

  1. Love this. When I was a kid my step day was the orchestra leader for Sahara, Tahoe. Donny and Marie were at our house often. Yes, he was and still is dreamy. Have a great day.

  4. I remember that song. I haven't thought of Donny Osmund or the Osmund brothers, even even Marie for years. OK Marie has been doing weight loss commercials on tv, but I haven't really paid much attention to them. I love this page Alison. You do paper layering so well!!!! Hope you're having a great weekend. Hugs-Erika

  6. That's a sweet page, Alison. You and Jennifer Garner must have been his biggest fans! I saw where she recently turned 40 and had confessed her obsession in some interview, so he showed up and surprised her and sang to her. Did you see that? Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex2_6yexIdU
    Enjoy! xoxo

  10. Another song sang with the hairbrush along with Jimmy's Long haired lover from Liverpool. My Auntie still has the hots for Donny to this day. Glad you got to see him in concert. It's a super page for a feel good blast from the past.

  11. As soon as I saw the title, the song came to my mind. Guess I had NO idea Donny Osmond sang it. I really love your page with the hearts and the TH stamp. I also like your color choices, too. It's a super entry honoring your theme at Art Journal Journey, Alison. Yes, I very far behind.
