52 Weeks Art Journal - Week 51 - Keep It Simple

 Hello Everyone.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We got to see our two children, which was so precious after last Christmas. They've both been vaccinated and boostered, and did their Covid tests, so it felt reasonably safe.

Today I have managed to get back in my art room, and I created a couple of art journal pages. I'm sharing the page I made for week 51 of Raspberry Blue Sky's 52 Weeks Art Journal challenge. Keep it simple was the prompt.

I'm linking this page to Valerie's When One Door Closes, Another One Opens theme at Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for visiting me today,

Alison

  1. I like how you used the book print as your background and those great photos. Nice door theme too. Thanks for sharing this at AJJ for Valerie's challenge. Glad you got to see both of your children at Christmas and that you got back into your art room today. Hugs-Erika

  3. I was delighted to see you had posted because I was beginning to worry about you. At least it sounds like you are well andhad a good Christmas. I love the background you chose. So easy, yet so effective. It also was a great place to include your various doors, too. This is a charming and clever spread. I love how you tore the doors. I think it made the images even more effective. Thanks, also, for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey using Valerie's theme. Once again, I keep forgetting how effective the Dymo label maker is with the sentiment.

  5. Super layers and images on the journal page Alison, I do often wonder what is inside other buildings. Thank you for linking this great page with Valerie's theme at AJJ.
I hope you will have a safe and Happy New Year.

  6. I am so glad you got to spend time with your family at Christmas.
We don't often get to know what goes on behind a closed door so it was good to have a peek inside the doors today in your journal. The front door, which we bypassed, looks so heavy and strong - a great fortress for the young lady within.
    Happy New Year Alison
    Hugs, Neet xx

  9. Hi Alison, Happy New Year! I really like this page. Tearing up the book print for the background is one of my faves to do, always looks good. And I love how you told a lil story of everyday life, too. XOXO p.s.- I finally got time to create a journal page myself, so check it out 12/29 post. :-)
