Gratitude Junk Journal - Days 3 and 4

Hello! I'm back with another post today. This one is for Leah's Art Every Day Month Challenge Day 5.

Day 3 of Gratitude Junk Journal class was to take inspiration from flowers and a quote by Henry Ward Beecher.

I'm also linking this spread to Wendy's Birds theme at Art Journal Journey.

Day 4 of Gratitude Junk Journal was a tutorial by Finnish artist Paivi Aerola, who uses music as her inspiration. I don't usually listen to music whilst creating, but I gave it a go, and I actually quite enjoyed the process.

That's all for today! Keep safe everyone!

  9. I have no idea how I missed this post. I'm such a dufus. Chalk it up to stress from our recent election (which isn't going too well at the moment).

You did a lot with that gratitude quote by Beecher and the flowers you created. Seeing those cute birds added to the overall look of the spread. Thanks for sharing these with us using Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey.

Your second spread is wonderful, too. I don't ever listen to music while crafting. First, I get lost in my own thoughts which become both meditative and almost hypnotic at times. I often sew on my pages, so it would be hard to listen to music over the sound of my sewing machine, although it's not that loud. However, I was glad to read you enjoyed the experience and it shows in the movement you created with your paints. You are also so good at that writing you create for your background. These are both wonderful, dear.

  10. Wow, what amazing pages! Loving all the different styles of art that your creating, the flowers and background look amazing 😁. My hubby always plays his bass guitar while I'm crafting so I'm used to hearing music as I create and often sing along too, probably not in tune though ...lol! Your music inspired page has such movement to it as it flows across the page - beautiful 😉. Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Jo x
p.s. hope you're enjoying Autumn Watch! xx

  11. Love your pages and I especially like the colours you have chosen to use.
I always craft silently but if music was playing it wouldn't bother me so maybe, like you, I should try it. I might have a lovely meandering page like yours.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  12. Thees both look fun to create. I love those flowers (and the little birds) I often listen to music while crafting, this looks as though it was a very calming piece of music you listened to. Thanks for sharing at AJJ, Hugs, Chrisx
