Soothe Me Art Journaling - Day Five

Hi Everyone!

Day 5 of Soothe Me Art Journaling - Ugly page alert! Spent a long time fiddling and looking at this, wondering what to do, then realised it's all about the process and it doesn't need to be pretty. Probably a reflection of how I'm feeling anyway, and good to get it out into my art journal.

Love and blessings to you all,

  1. Amazing page! The orange with the blue is really punchy and is a beautiful combination, and the abstract face looks fabulous 😀. I often think some of my pages are ugly too, but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...lol 😉. Wishing you a happy Friday and weekend! Stay safe and healthy! Hugs, Jo x

  4. I actually quite like it. But then I wasn't the creator and too close to it as happens-sometimes too often. It's like she is hiding behind the orange mask. Tak care. Hugs-Erika

  5. So expressive, we need to continue to create pages like this to help our inner self. Love how she pops out from beyond, like a reminder that she is still there.. like a glimmer of hope. Take care & stay strong Alison Hugs Tracey xx

  6. Oh definitely - especially in a journal it's all about the process - though I have to say I think the finished page you're sharing is completely fabulous too. The energy is phenomenal - that's partly the colours and partly the wild scribbling, but the woman behind it all is clear and present. Fabulous.

  7. I left you a very long message and when I published it, I got an error message. About the time I was leaving another one, I got kicked off the internet.

I was really impressed with your page. When I first saw it, I thought of the Nazca lines seen from the air in Peru. These glyphs have always fascinated me, so when I saw the face, my mind went directly there. I suspect I appreciate this face far more than you!!
