Hope

Hi Everyone! It doesn't feel like there's a lot of hope at the moment, but we mustn't give up. We will come out of the other side of this!

Eileen's Green theme at Art Journal Journey will be ending tomorrow, so I thought I'd create a final page in my journal. I used a hessian page, and cut some scallops on the edge, then gathered some collage materials.

Who knew that Bombay India Ink would crackle on top of Mod Podge?! I hope you can see this in the photo below.

And here's a final close up of my doodling and message.

Thanks for visiting and keep safe,

Alison xox

  5. I love the burlap background. You must be using a Dina Wakley journal. This page is not only green and pretty but has some super texture. Thanks for joining us this month Alison. And keep washing those hands. Yup, things will eventually get better. Hugs-Erika

  9. Oh wow, what a lovely thing to happen when you least expected it to - love the crackle. I love how you can create with such freedom, I would be afraid to journal on canvas like this. What do you do on the other side of the canvas?
    Love it!

  11. Great use of the burlap page - love the cut away peeking through to the next page, and the bookpage/teabag collage combination is a treat with the soft greens and doodly images.

  12. Such a beautiful abstract piece! The scalloped Hessian adds a lovely backdrop to the colourful flower and I love the little red heart too 😀. It's important to have hope at times like these! Happy wishes and keep well! Hugs, Jo x
