Hello Everyone!
The theme for week 9 of Raspberrybluesky's art journal challenge on Instagram is Childhood Memories.
With the daffodils flowering in our garden, and the UK's Mothering Sunday just over a week away, I was reminded of bringing a bunch of daffodils to my mum during the service at our local church. I found a Tim Holtz Paper Doll holding a flag, to represent me as a Brownie and Girl Guide, although I'm not sure I ever carried the flag at church parade.
I'm linking my page to Sheila's A Single Flower theme at Art Journal Journey.
A happy Friday to you, have a great weekend,
Alison xox
Nice page Alison. I am jealous you have daffodils blooming. I still have snow. (big smile for you, sad face for me) Loving this latest page and your daffodil for Sheila's single flower challenge. Hope you have a great start to your weekend, and thanks for sharing with us at AJJ. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteYes, the daffodils are here (some of them) and I actually did carry the flag several times. Thanks for the memory of that which I had forgotten.
Beautiful page Ali. Lovely memories. Will be back soon for a proper catch up. Just wanted to say have a lovely weekend. Hugs Flo xx

ReplyDeleteDafs always remind me of my Mom we'd always be given one to take home for Mothers day along with our hand made cards at school. They always used to appear really big when so small. A lovely memory Alison and a very beautiful page. Wishing you a super creative weekend Hugs Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely page to capture that happy memory 😀. Loving the big daffodil and the paper doll, perfect! I bought my mum some daffs last week, she loves spring flowers too. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Jo x

This is brilliant, Alison. I love the background, the marks, the girl representing you, and of course, that lovely daffodil that is perfect for Sheila's theme at Art Journal Journey. Simply awesome.
ReplyDeleteWonderful way to remember your Mom. Beautiful page too. Love the colors, the bit of cardboard, and your scribble writing. All combine beautifully! Hugz
