Hi Everyone!
Here are my latest two pages for Kasia's Advent Calendar challenge.
Day 4 - A Walk.
I walk with my parent's walking group every Wednesday. This week it was very frosty, but also beautiful and sunny.
There's my Mum ahead in the red coat. Isn't that tree on the right stunning?!
Love this tree, and how blue the sky is.
And here is the page I created. I used a PaperArtsy stamp set for the bird and branches.
Day 5 - Sticks and Twigs. On our walk we were supposed to pick up some twigs etc. to use today. I already had a pinecone, and found a fir sprig in my garden to make some marks. I made the black marks with the pinecone.
I'm linking this page to Yvonne's Words and Numbers theme at Art Journal Journey.
Beautiful journal page, and lovely walking photos, looks beautiful. I'm sure you all have fun together! Valerie
ReplyDeleteSure you had a nice walk on woods. Both pages are beautiful with a forest touch.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend xx
It looks like a perfect winter day for a walk 😁. The gorgeous autumnal coloured tree and tall pine looks so beautiful too! I love your page with the blue sky and twigs and I bet it was fun stamping with the pine cone and fir sprig 😉. Happy Friday and weekend! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWow, Alison. I wish I had a place like that to walk. Living in the largest city in KS, it's hard to walk and not encounter a lot of traffic. You have found the perfect place. Having family and friends wall with you is even better.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your pages are beautiful. The use of a pine cone as a marking tool is brilliant. I love it. And sharing these with us at Art Journal Journey using Yvonne's theme is the total icing on the cake (walk)!
What a wonderful place for a walk. It looks fairly flat and even while still being out in nature. Nice :) I like both of your pages. The fir twig reminds me of the Eastern Redcedar (a type of juniper) we used to have in my yard when I was growing up. I can still remember how they smelled :) Fond memories.
ReplyDeleteyou are lucky being able to get out and walk when the weather is perfect like that. Yes, love the tree. Fab pages too.
ReplyDeleteReally nice place to walk. I miss living in the woods and my walks. Art is lovely as always. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThe photos from your walk look lovely, the sky was a beautiful shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages looked fantastic as well and I love how you used the fresh twig and cone to mark the page a great idea.
Thank you for sharing your art with us at Art Journal Journey, the quote you used today was super.

Great journal page and love the real pine sprig and great pics -not seen the sky that blue for a while

Love how you caught the blue from the sky and replicated it on day 4. Frosty mornings are even more beautiful when the skies are cloud free.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the pine cone make fabulous art marks.. my little pre-school groups used to squabble over the cones on print days.
Hugs Tracey xx
Oh a frosty morning walk sounds devine! I can tell it inspired you with these gorgeous pages! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm as excited as you did
ReplyDeletea beautiful Christmas page and beautiful photos with the frosty autumnal tree colors!
hugs Elke
Great pages and more lovely memories. I love trees, so your photos are beautiful to me. Nothing beats a bright, sunny winter's day, even if it is icy or frosty! You're so blessed to share that with your family.
