Hello Everyone!
Here are a couple more pieces from the LifeBook Taster Sessions.
Kassi Martin - A fun collage of torn strips of some of my gel prints, with added yarn, and some doodled birds and flowers.
Shemi Dixon - Collage, scrunched tissue, stencils & texture paste, acrylic paint, pieces of sari ribbon, and buttons. A whole heap of fun! I finished with some touches of gold metallic paint. Definitely a favourite!
I'm linking the above piece to Tracey's My Favourite Colour is October theme at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks for visiting me today,
Alison
Both are lovely, and enjoyed making them, too. And thanks for joining us at Tracey's challenge at AJJ. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pages! The textures are amazing, I love the addition of the yarn with those fun birds and the buttons with the stenciling too 😁. Enjoy your week! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteLoks like you had fun making them both and they are both brilliant-love all the texture and colours

These were the two Tasters I saved, thinking I might actually be able to create them. Haven't seen the videos yet, but felt it was something I could actually accomplish. I LOVE your spin on both of these. I like what you have done with the texture paste in Dixon's art. I really like yours even better than hers. Thanks for sharing these beauties and especially the one by Dixon you created for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear.
ReplyDeleteThese are both fantastic Alison but that second piece with the texture and those colors is amazing. Wow. Thanks for sharing these with us at AJJ. These are more beauties. I definitely need to find some time to check out these classes. Happy mid-week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWonderful pages with great textures!

The second one is very much me when I have time to spend on a page in my journal. I love scrunching tissue, love using texture paste and love the touches of gold here and there,
