Hello All.
I have two more pages to share today from the Scrappy September Scavenger Challenge.
Day 11 - Black & White, Bookmark, Drawing of a building, Star
Bonus Item - Your Country's Flag
I had to employ some drawing skills for this one, sketching a house, and drawing the Union Jack, my country's flag. The bookmark came with a V&A(Victoria & Albert) Museum magazine, lots of vintage things to see there in that lovely old building, and the flag must be pretty vintage??? So I'm linking up to Wendy's Vintage theme at Art Journal Journey.
Day 12 - Lavender/Purple, Paper napkin, An old handkerchief, Leaf
Bonus Item - Food packaging
These prompts seem to be getting trickier, but it's fun to search for things to use, and sometimes I have to improvise a little 😄
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Alison
I think you are doing a wonderful job and both of these show how ingenious you are. I love your Union Jack. So very lovely. Thanks for sharing Day 11 with us at Art Journal Journey using Wendy's theme, too, dear Alison.
ReplyDeleteFabulous pages and love all the ideas you come up with

Your drawing skills look mighty fine to me, really like the sound of this challenge, I can imagine you'll uncover & rediscover many things this month. Look forward to seeing more... good things are going to happen ;) xx
ReplyDeleteYour pieces are always good, I am astonished that you always manage to come up with something new each time! Great! hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow, more amazing art today Alison. What caught my eye was the magazine cut out (or something similar) of the V&A, which one museum I really want to visit. I've been to London twice and have yet to make it, so maybe-hopefully-one day I get back. OK, enough about me. It is a super page. And page 2 is really great too. adding the old hankie was a great idea. It looks very vintage too. You've created some more beauties. Thanks for joining AJJ again. These are perfect for Wendy's theme. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteTwo great pages Alison - you certainly got the mix of the flags right to make up the Union Jack.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet x
A lovely page for my theme on AJJ Alison, thank you. You are a busy lady, are you let out of your craft room sometimes ??
ReplyDeleteLoving your scrappy makes! The layers and doodles look fabulous together - love it 😁. Take care and wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteI like the ideas both of your pages, and you have made them greatly.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week xx
Great ideas! Love your house sketch and the flag. On the second one, I really like corrugated board and the plant.

Catching up, thanks for thinking of me regarding the storm, I appreciate it! Catching up now, I like both pages, chuckled at your suspicions of the prompts getting trickier, I think they probably are! Personally, I hate when that happens, but it grabs my stubborn nature and takes me on a ride every time, lol. Some poppycock about stretching the creative muscle, I say creativity happens when one is relaxed and knowing what to expect! heehee xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the improvising you do! Super cool pages with lots of fun things to look at. Your journal pages are always such a treat!!!
