Hello All.
Here's today's Scrappy September Scavenger page.
Day 16 - Light green, Postcard, A piece of plaid fabric, Zig zag.
Bonus Item - A family portrait.
I used DecoArt Green Gold fluid acrylic for the background, a Crafty Individuals stamp for the postcard, a Carabelle Studio stamp for the zig zags, and a Dymo printer for the words.
I'm linking my page to Wendy's Vintage theme at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks for dropping by,
Alison

This is is a great family portrait Alison, and what a good story that goes with it. Thanks for sharing this with us at AJJ for Wendy's challenge. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous beauty for that challenge, Alison. And it has a great story too. I love how you treated all the required elements and still were able to create a stunning entry for Wendy's theme at Art Journal Journey. I have some of that green gold fluid acrylic from Golden. I don't think I've ever used it.
ReplyDeleteFabulous work, love the colours, and thanks so much for linking again to AJJ. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun art piece! I love that green gold color. The photo is great. She really does look like she’s making that wish. When I was a kid, and we were on family vacations and bought postcards to write home, my Dad always said to write Having a wonderful time, wish you were here. So I’ve had a good laugh at ‘I don’t wish you were here!”
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of the two images. A very good and very clever one!! :)

Just catching up here and it's obvious Mabel is on the young side of life. When you get old like me, you need your hubby to drive you and carry all the paraphernalia! LOL Very nice page with the pleated lace and plaid, xoxo

ReplyDeleteI can relate! Ha ha! What an awesome page!
