Hello Folks!
Here's another page for Erika's New Year, New Adventures Challenge at Art Journal Journey.
Taking time out has never been a problem for me, but painting with string was a new thing! I learned that you need to put plenty of paint on the string. The blue paint lines are just about visible, as I was playing with my card prompts again, and more layers went on top. Here are the 10 prompts I used...
You can see the string printing a little better in the close-up photo.
Happy Friday!

Your prompt cards inspired another fabulous page! Painting with string sounds fun and messy, I think I'd be covered in paint by the end ...lol 😉 ...and how did you get those blue lines so neat 😁. Glad you are taking time out and getting creative, wishing you a Happy Friday and Weekend! J 😊
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool and cheerful and I really love your beautiful card prompt cards as well! A fabulous idea for me, maybe I can make some as ATCs as I have ATC making on my agenda for this year. I can imagine the stringpainting is something special- I tried it a few times - but just with black colour. Kind too messy for me. Recently I used string as a stencil and as I put away the string I was very happy with the coloured string and will use it in another project.
ReplyDeleteWe are really like kids, aren't we- we want to try and play as often as possible!
We are happy girls indeed to enjoy our hobby so much!
Thank you for yet another of your fantastic play - pages linked to Erika's January theme- you ROCK!
We enjoy all - time out and time in ... isn't that AMAZING?!
Happy start of your weekend!

The card prompts are a great idea. The page looks fabulous and I've never tried painting with string, but it sounds really fun.

How clever and a nice little challenge to paint with a string. Can't say I have ever done that. But it leaves some neat line and shapes. I think the card prompts are smart too. It's a good way to jump start yourself if you get one of those "oh what should I do now" moments. I love the colors today too. Thanks for joining in. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these clever prompt cards and you used them well. I've tried string painting before and I also found the paint soaks into the string and you get very light marks on the page. I believe yours turned out much better than mine. This is a beautiful journal page, the sentiment resonates, and the techniques were perfect. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteYou've made a some fab impressions on your page Alison, painting with string brought a smile to my face as it was an activity I used to do with pre-school children often but the parents enjoyed it so much more!! Super page & memories..
