EOTC Journal August - Days 15 & 16

 Hello All.

I have a couple more pages to share from Elle of Empire of the Cat's Journal August challenge.

Day 15 - Lost & Found

Day 16 - Rollercoaster. This brings back memories of trips to the seaside town of Margate on the SE coast of the UK. My auntie and uncle had a holiday flat there, so it was lovely to meet up with my cousins. As well as the beach, we enjoyed visiting the Dreamland Amusement Park. I was never a fan of the rollercoaster though, too scary for me! I did enjoy spending my pennies on the slot machines though.

I'm linking my seaside page to Chris' When We Were Young theme at Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for visiting and leaving your lovely comments,

Alison

    1. Margate was fun wasn't it?! My grandparents lived at Herne Bay, so it was usually the seaside towns along that coast that we visited, Westgate on Sea, Minnis Bay, Palm Bay, Broadstairs etc.

  2. Such lovely memories wrapped up in your page about the seaside. First time I went to Margate was only a few years ago - still I am a northerner so Blackpool and Morecambe were my go to places. Two fab pages - loved seeing them both.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  3. So glad you are feeling inspired Alison. Not been to Margate, we never made it that far, it was Blackpool for us! Elle/EOTC xx

  4. I wish I had time to join Elle's challenge. This has been one busy month. Almost too busy. I like both of these pages. Your seaside page is fun. I never visited beaches that had amusement parks at them, but I didn't mind the rollercoasters at amusement parks I visited. Thanks for sharing this fun page and memory for Chris' challenge. Have a great weekend. Hugs-Erika

I bet Margate was fun - do you remember playing 2p waterfall slots? Happy wishes 😁. Hugs Jo x

  8. Fabulous pages Alison! I don't like the idea of a roller coaster ride either, slot machines became more interesting when my boys were growing up. I remember putting money in slot machines to play bagatelle or 3 in a row and occasionally a laughing sailor! Thanks so much for sharing at AJJ, hugs, Chrisx

  9. I was never very fond of rollercoasters either. I do love the way you added the rollercoaster to the scene. The seaside artwork is so beautiful. It really is a perfect rendition of your childhood memories.
