Happy Friday Everyone!
PaperArtsy have a great Challenge topic on their blog at the moment which is 'Re-Inkers'. I decided to try the drop & spritz technique, inspired by Autumn's tutorial for the challenge.
My page was also inspired by Southern Gal's Designs video, where she used collage and inks on an art journal page.
I have a few distress ink re-inkers, which haven't been opened in a while. I used Salty Ocean, Stormy Skies, and Vintage Photo. The Stormy Skies bottle still had the plastic seal on! I also used PaperArtsy Sara Naumann stamps, and there's some tea splotches on my page too.
I'd also like to share with you some socks that I just finished crocheting for myself. I really love the Autumny colours. I used King Cole Zig Zag yarn if you're interested, and a pattern by Rohn Strong.
That's all for now. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Those socks are COLORFUL, but the pattern is out of this world.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any oxide reinkers, but I have lots of other kinds. I'll have to check their blog out to learn about this technique. I wonder if it's my favorite where I add rubbing alcohol to Staz-on.
Your page is beautiful. I love how you created an amazing abstract background and kept the foreground realistic. Very nicely done, dear Alison.
Wow, I love you journal page! The colours and textures are amazing - so beautiful 😀. Your colourful autumnal socks made me smile, I could do with them as my tootsies are cold this morning...lol 😉. Off to put some socks on now but they won't be as lovely as yours ...lol 😉. Happy Friday! J 😊 x
