Hello Everyone! I had a little play in my gelli-print journal this morning.
I first added a couple of extra paint layers with Slate and Turquoise Fresco Acrylic, then added some scraps of painty paper and book page, a decorated teabag, and a few marks with Posca paint pens. I also added some paint skins that I peeled off my brayer handle whilst cleaning it (you can see one on the right, in the photo below), then finished with some messy journalling.
I'm linking up to Chris' Art For Art's Sake challenge at Art Journal Journey.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Fabulous use of colour and I adore the writing and pops of white. Tracy ❤️❤️

ReplyDeleteI know how very late I am visiting, but I'm trying to catch up today, even though I still have chills and a morbid cough. I've wanted to try those paint skins, but never have. You did a marvelous job. I admit it's very, very colorful. So glad you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous little play you had there! This looks splendid, I love the paint skins and your paint top pickings too! Great finishing touch wth the loose journalling, haven't done that for a while so watch this space and Thanks for the inspiration! Thank you also for your support of my theme at Art Journal Journey! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteFabulous page, Alison! I never thought of using paint skins. In fact I never heard the term - lol.
ReplyDeleteI've worked so hard to improve my handwriting and do faux calligraphy that now I find it impossible to do messy journaling that's just for design and venting, but not meant to be read. I love this page!
Hugs, Eileen
