Five Minute Art Journaling and 365 Somethings

Hi Everyone!

This five minute art journaling is scary! What a mess I created today, and I confess I added more black splatters and outlined the word sticker after my time was up. I used paint, and mint & liquorice teabags that were lurking on my desk. Anyway, here is my spread for Day Two of SouthernGal's Challenge, and I'm also linking it to Art Journal Journey. It's definitely Art For Art's Sake! Hahaha!

I also have my seven teabags for Week 30 of the 365 Somethings Challenge to show you.

Painty scraps with black pen marks, torn pieces of Asian newspaper (that our presents from Beth and Gordon came wrapped in), paints marks stamped with Lego, and splatters made with a gold pen.

A tip for you... If you want strong tea colour and marks, leave the pile of sodden teabags lying on a plate overnight, before squeezing, drying out and emptying.

Have a happy day,

Alison xox

  7. Amazing how you can still create such cool tea bags after doing it for all these weeks. :) And I like your splattery "mess", not a mess really but great start for the background on a page you could use some other time. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

  10. Your five minute journal entry is wonderful today. Even if it took a bit longer than five minutes. I won't tell (grin). You must LOVE tea, whether square or round, these turn a spread into a work of art. Sharing them with us at Art Journal Journey is extra special, too.

Your 365 tea bags are awesome this week, with the wonderful paper and LEGOS. I want a lego to stamp my art with. You chose a great theme this week, dear Alison, and your tea bags are always over the top. I also like your tip about leaving them overnight in a heap for stronger tea bag color. It certainly worked for these seven.

  11. I can't imagine how you could do art in 5 minutes. Does that include getting the paints out? I think your art here is terrific, great colours and design and fun to look at. I might be tempted to try this.
I also love your teabag art, how different it is.
    Have a happy Tea Day!
