Happy Thursday Everyone!
Day 12's Art Marks word is Unfold. Until recently, I'd rarely unfold on my blog, and share personal details. It was all about showing the art, and as few words as possible. I don't really like writing to be honest. Haha! Today, the bosses of the company who are taking over the rail project hubby is working on, are coming in to meet the staff. It will be interesting to see what unfolds from this!
On this page, I adhered torn book page, teabag, and Gelli Print scrap, then added marks and doodles with acrylic paint and pens. It was a 20 minute page, as it's a sunny day, and I was going out for a walk and coffee with my best friend and her son.
I'm linking my page to Country View Crafts Challenge Anything But Cute.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
Alison x
WOW! That would have taken me much longer to create. In fact, I probably wouldn't even have my materials assembled in 20 minutes. You did a fantastic job and of course, I LOVE the teabag you used, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope the outcome from the meeting today turns out to be a positive one. I can't begin to imagine what you and your husband must be going through right now. Fingers crossed for you.
A wonderful "Quick" page! Your layering and use of scraps is always amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have sun - we had also sun and were out for a longer walk with the dogs. Finger crossed for the company and your hubby's job! ♥♥♥
I know what you mean - I do neither like to write too much about my private life on my blog - but I think meanwhile the most people are on FB and other more trivial social media and share all their privacy there and those who still run a real blog are only a few people and seem to be real artists and real artists are good souls and friends and they are allowed to know more about me!

Great to use a lovely day with your friend, and to let us enjoy your page, Alison . xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheerful flower, and you find perfect ways of incorporating the tea bags :) No sun here :( I've forgotten what it looks like, I think!
ReplyDeleteLovely journal page. Hope the talks at your husbands firm bring positive results. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love your 'quick' page - it's great to make a page with nothing more than the enjoyment - just for a short while, of enjoying the moment! This really is full of movement and fun! I know what you mean about sharing your personal thoughts and details but I feel that the folk who read my blog actually come here to see what I am doing rather then coming across me in a random way - what I say on IG is totally different to what I share on my blog - and I'm not and never(I know, never say never!) will be on Face book - I have heard of far too many arguments and fall outs because of what some one has passed on! Hope the unfolding makes things easier!! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteFabulous "quick" page-love the citrus colours-fingers crossed for hubbys job-freezing here and we have had rain and hail!!!

This is fabulous Alison love your layer upon layers. I understand completely regarding sharing more than a little piece of your art on your blog. I struggle with social media but feel my blog is becoming my place to be right now.
ReplyDeleteI actually love to write but rarely share as mine is hidden within my drawings and paintings and covered with many layers.
I hope all went well in the meeting and wishing you all the best for what ever is to *Unfold*
Creative Hugs Tracey xx
Your happy page and words (that you don't like to write ...lol 😉) made me smile this morning! I love your doodles and layers and the colours look beautiful with the teabag, bright pop of blue and contrasting flower 😁. I hope all went well for your hubby and that you had a lovely walk and coffee with your friend and her son too. We had sunshine yesterday and today so walking is a must for us and you never know we may have a cuppa as well...lol 😀. Happy Friday and I hope you have a lovely weekend! J 😊
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Alison, you make me envious with your 20 minute page, it would take me that long to decide what to do, talk myself out of it, and generally overthink it all! Your page is just lovley, everything works so well together. Thanks so much for joining in with us at Country View Crafts and have a fun week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteI've been exploring white space this year and you really made a great page with white space here. Of course what I really love is the colors, but they sure pop with the white space, don't they? Nice page-that flower really catches your eye. happy Friday-hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI love your page Alison! It sounds like a lovely day making art and meeting with a friend to take a walk. Hoping it all works out with your husbands job. Thinking of you. .
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this look - the book page, teabag and fabulous doodling - it all works to perfection. Keeping many fingers crossed for a good outcome with the rail project.
