Hello All.
Tiffany Sharpe's tutorial on Willa Wander's Fodder Challenge was about using up those trimmed pieces of paper we all keep, and stitching them down for a beautiful background.
Here's the start of another page in my art journal. I attached my stitched piece over some teabag papers.
Then I sketched and cut out some book page flowers.
I decided the flowers needed more colour, I used Stabilo Woodys for this, and I also added some white ink splashes.
I'm linking my finished page to Alison's Summer Countryside theme at Art Journal Journey.
Thanks for dropping by today,
Alison xox

ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea to use up those paper scraps. And it looks fantastic too. Especially when you add those pretty flowers. Nice page for Alison's challenge at AJJ. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYes a very lovely background for collage! Beautiful work, xoxo

I also saw that video, Alison. I may have to try that, too, since I love to sew. However, I doubt I will use as much glue on the scraps as she did before she sewed them on the page. Since I can't draw as well as you, I think it would be great to combine this fodder lesson with the sticky one. I absolutely love your incredible flowers, though. They are fabulous and so is the page. It's also perfect for butterfly's theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a background - and the flowers really bring it to life. Lovely.
