Happy weekend everyone! I have another page to share for my Pockets & Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
My page started as another 5 minute piece for Southern Gal's Instagram Challenge.
I finished my page off with a teacup pocket, a tiny tag, and some book page text.
Here's a peek at the tag. I covered it with a piece of teabag, added a scrap of book page, then stamped a little plant. The teacup was handcut from a painted scrap of envelope.
And here's a closer look at the book text, taken from a couple of different books.
Thanks for visiting,
Alison xox
Another wonderful page Alison. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is a super pocket and tag. It works so well on your cool page. I wonder what the situation Ann is considering involves this cup of tea? Happy weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWhat got me was the cup you created. I'm truly impressed. I like how you stamped the tag and used all those real teabags, too. This is adorable and well done. Thanks for yet another lovely entry using your theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteWow, Alison! What a super page! I have to admit that is a great inspiration for an amateur like me in mixed media. Gorgeous! Hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm always amazed by your 5 minute pages - so inspiring! I love your addition of the teacup and tag, they are so beautiful 😀. Thanks so much for hosting AJJ this month and you're lovely comments, as always! I really enjoyed creating pages with pockets and tags, definately something I need to so more of 😊. Happy bank holiday weekend! Jo x
ReplyDeleteGreat page! Super cool details - did you say 5 minutes for that background? Amazing! Mine would have like 1 thing on it (the layer of gesso probably - lol). The words, the colorful cup and the tag are the perfect addition!!! Love it!!!! Hugz
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love the tea cup and the pink makes the whole piece pop with happiness.

Another wonderful page for your AJJ theme Alison. I love the teacup used as a holder for the tags.
ReplyDeleteStay safe.

You saved the best till last Alison this is a fabulous page full of layers, composed words and a spark of colour. The tea cup pocket is a grand idea. Really wish i'd had time to come and play more this month but been trying to work on some landscaping in the garden battling with the weather. Think i'll be rewarding myself with some crafty time when all is done.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could come by and have a catch up before August disappeared.
Thank you for all the inspiration. Take care Hugs Tracey xx
