JJJ - Days 22-24

 Hello All.

Happy new week to you!

Here we go with some more of my Junk Journal January pages.

Day 22 - Pockets. It had to be a teabag pocket! The little tag was a watercolour leaf that I painted, then muted down with a layer of teabag paper. I finished with those 3 black dots top right, to balance the page.

Day 23 - Favourite Book. I love a Jane Austen novel. It's hard to pick a favourite, but I think it might be Persuasion. I used some of my hoarded Basic Grey patterned papers, and a lovely stamp set by Artistic Outpost.

Day 24 - Junk Mail. I cut the images from a Joe Browns catalogue, and simply collaged them on my page.
Not much sun around here today, but this piece cheered my day up.

I'm linking the above page to Erika's Let's Face It theme at Art Journal Journal. Let's face it, sunshine really does make everything better, doesn't it?!

Thanks for visiting me here today.

Alison

  2. Persuasion was the last Jane Austen novel I read. It is a good story, but all her stories are good, aren't they? That's a great page, but then all 3 are. I've said it again, but what a fun project. Thanks for sharing with us at at AJJ. I appreciate your support too. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

  3. Wonderful pages, Alison. I especially like the idea of using a tea bag for a pocket. And I have a tendency to hoard what little Basic Grey I have, too.

Junk mail is a constant source of fodder for my art, so this sunshine page made me very happy. It and the Jane Austin page are both great entries for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for sharing these.

  5. Fantastic art Allison, you mentioned it would be hard to pick out a favourite book, I'd have the same problem. The page for 23 was the one I kept coming back to to look closer would have to be my pick of the selection you shared today.
    Stay safe.

  8. I love a good magazine collage, it cheered me up too! But not as much as this AO sighting! I'm a long time Artistic Outpost fan. This is no lie: I own over 60 of their stamp sets, lol. And have used most of them. At one time, all I used, now only occasionally but coincidentally, I'm working on a circus themed card right now and including a stamp collage using AO stamps. I have that Spring set, too. Small world! xoxo

  12. I was hoping to see a teabag pocket amongst your pages and there it is, just fab. Sunshine sure does make everything seem better, great recycling of those mag pages. We've had a few sunny days this week but it's still so cold especially with those high winds. Here's wishing Spring arrives soon.
Have a super creative week Hugs Tracey x
