52 Weeks Art Journal - Week 15 - My Art Journal Is...

...Somewhere I can be messy and playful.

Here's my art journal page for Raspberry Blue Sky's Week 15 theme.

I used teabags, a gel print, some coffee painted card, and images from a magazine. I used some of my hand-carved mark-making stamps, then added white acrylic ink drips and splashes.

I was inspired by one of Erika/BioArtGal's pages, on which she added a scallop design to the top of her page, so I used one of my hand-carved scallop stamp designs, stamped onto white paper and cut out. I also used my 'Weird' hand-carved stamp, which was stamped on coffee painted card and cut out.

I'm linking my page to Art Journal Journey's Inspired By theme.

Thanks for visiting,

Alison xx

  6. I like this. It isn't really messy, but this is coming from someone who likes messy pages. The peeking out faces and the pup are fantastic. And tea bags and drips too. This is perfect Alison. Thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey, and hope you are having a nice day. Hugs-Erika

  7. Not messy but nice and busy for the viewer to spend time looking. I love the drips - something I always forget about until someone reminds me. Bet I forget again next time I journal.

  8. Oh Alison, this is SO YOU. It looks exactly like something you would create. From the teabags to the hand carved stamps to the messy drips, this is exactly a perfect example of what your art journal would look like. Thanks, also for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey. We are incredibly grateful for your support of Eileen's Inspired By project, too.
