Happy weekend everyone! I have another page to share for my Pockets & Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
My page started as another 5 minute piece for Southern Gal's Instagram Challenge.
I finished my page off with a teacup pocket, a tiny tag, and some book page text.
Here's a peek at the tag. I covered it with a piece of teabag, added a scrap of book page, then stamped a little plant. The teacup was handcut from a painted scrap of envelope.
And here's a closer look at the book text, taken from a couple of different books.

You Are Loved
Hi Everyone!
Here's another 5 minute plus page for my Pockets & Tags theme at Art Journal Journey. I have to admit that the tag and hearts were added after the time was up, but those 5 minutes do go exceedingly fast! ;-)
There's still a few days left to join in with the AJJ challenge :-)
Thanks for dropping by,

Abstract Journal Page
Hi Everyone!
I've got another page to share for my theme Pockets & Tags at Art Journal Journey.
My recent pages have been some 5 minute (or a little more) pages I've created for Southern Gal's 5 Min challenge on Instagram. This one was a little over the 5 minutes, as I finished it off with some journaling around the teabag, and I added the tag to the teabag.
I'm off to bring the guinea pigs in from the garden now, hopefully the grass will be a bit shorter!
Keep safe, and thanks for visiting,
Alison xx

366 Somethings 2020 - Week 34
Hello Everyone! I hope you're all keeping well.
Here are my collaged index cards for week 34 of 366 Somethings 2020.
Do you have a favourite this week? Mine is 233. I love the colours, the circles and that piece of text from Pride & Prejudice.
Whilst I'm here, I have another page to share for my Pockets and Tags theme at Art Journal Journey. There seems to be a problem getting on the blog at the moment, but hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Abstract Flowers
Happy Friday Everyone!
Today, I have another page to share for my Pockets & Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
I created a little corner pocket for my abstract flowers to sit in.
Here's my 5 minute background that I began with. I'm almost sorry to have covered it up.

366 Somethings 2020 - Week 33
Hello Everyone!
Today, I have my week 33 ICADs to share with you.
I wonder if you have a favourite this week. Number 229 with the bird was very popular on Instagram, and I was very pleased with how he turned out. I found the perfect words to go with him too I thought. But I do really like number 228, with the collage, the wording I found on the book page scraps that I used, and those red dotty accents.
Hope you're all having a good week, thanks for dropping by.

Hope Is A Waking Dream
Hi Everyone! I have another art journal page for my Pockets and Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
I started by gluing some teabags to my kraft page, then scraped on some blue paint, and stamped some script with turquoise paint.
The tag was from my stash, and has a PaperArtsy Infusions Ink background on it I think. I popped an empty teabag into a tea packet, and stapled it to the tag, then sewed on a concertinaed teabag at the bottom. I tied on some orange ribbon, then sewed across that too, then glued the tag onto my page.
The title is from PaperArtsy Sara Naumann stamp set ESN10, as are the white circles. I finished with turquoise and orange paint splatters.

AJJ - Pockets and Tags
Hi All! Today I have another page to share for my Pockets & Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
This page started with a gelli printed red circle. I added some gold paint splatter, then stamped the Carabelle Studio background on the left with Ultramarine Stazon. I stamped the Audrey Hepburn angel tag (also Carabelle Studio) onto white card, coloured it, cut it out and glued it to the page. I finished by stamping the sentiment with the Ultramarine Stazon.
Thanks so much for visiting, and also for playing along with the challenge.
Hugs, Alison xox

366 Somethings - Week 32
Hi Everyone!
It's been too hot to do much these last few days! We've been going out for our usual 6am walks when it's lovely, then spending the rest of the day indoors with the curtains shut to keep out the sun. Is it an age thing? I just can't cope with high temperatures anymore.
I've just about managed to create my daily collaged index cards, and here's my latest week's worth.
Crazy 219 is my favourite this week. Someone commented on Instagram that the colourful scrap in the middle looks like a pair of funky shoes. Do you have a favourite?

366 Somethings - Week 31
Hey Everyone!
It's always interesting for me to look back on a week's ICADs, and to see how different they all are. Anyway, I digress, here are my latest little collages.
Hmmm...which is my favourite this week? I always love an inky mess, so I think 212 has it. But also those mountain ranges on 215 and the pebble people on 214, that I cut from a health brochure. How about you?

Live Life Gently
Hi Everyone!
I made another page for my Pockets and Tags theme at Art Journal Journey.
My substrate is a gel print I made recently with some heart-shaped leaves I found on one of my walks. You can just about make them out if you look carefully. I added some torn pieces of painty paper and a teabag packet, popped a shipping tag and teabag tag in the pocket, then used Dina Wakley's Sunburst stencil with Primary Cyan paint. I scribbled some black pen journaling, attached a little heart-shaped leaf to the pocket, then added my hand-written words 'Live Life Gently'. I finished with some black paint splashes.
I hope you're all having a good week,
Alison xx

Art Journal Calendar - August 2020
Hi Everyone!
I'm a day late with my August art journal calendar spread, in fact I only found time to create it today. As you can see, I've already filled out 2 days.
I used a 5x3" Gelli Plate with Dina Wakley heavy body acrylic and home-made mark-making tools, to make a bright background. The little tags were cut from a previously made gel print, then the details were made with a fine black Posca paint pen. I used PaperArtsy stencils for the title.
I'm linking my spread to my theme Pockets and Tags at Art Journal Journey.
