Hello Folks!
Birgit Koopsen is hosting another 30 Day Gel Printing Challenge over on Instagram, and one of the themes was tape, which gave me some fab decorated tapes to use on a page for Erika's Polkadots, Stripes, Plaids & Patterns theme at Art Journal Journey.
I used simple masking tape, once decorated I applied over torn patterned text papers, then used a That's Crafty stencil to add pattern, and added some scribbly journaling.
I'll share my first week of gel prints tomorrow :-) Birgit's challenge has been a great way to get me back in my craft room, why not join in if you're on Instagram, it's never too late to catch up ;-)
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

This is fantastic Alison. The masking tape really transforms into something special and I love the idea of making it to be what you want. And adding the white flower is a super addition. Big THANKS for joining in the PSPP challenge at AJJ. Your support is much appreciated. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteChris is also doing this challenge, and I asked her, since I'm not on Instagram, if there is a link I can follow to at least see her work. The only thing I could find was her 31 products challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis first technique turned out great, Alison. I like how you scribbled on the gelli masking tape. I also love that stencil you used to bring everything together. It's a beautiful entry and fits perfectly with Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey.
Wow, this is amazing Alison. Super that the challenge brings you back in the flow. Maybe I should join in as well, I am totally out of flow, lol!

Challenges always work for me, they are fabulous for inspiration and to get you crafting again, aren't they! Your page is fabulous with the tape, scribbling and stenciling, that's a lovely stencil design 😁. Wishing you a happy week with your gelli prints! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you've got a working white pen too!! Love those rainbow stripes alternating with the neutrals, and great texture over the top.
