Hi Everyone! I made another art journal page for Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey.
Hubby and I went to see the film 'Yesterday', yesterday, in fact. We loved it, well who doesn't love The Beatles' music?! Anyway, today Hubby took the train up to York, where he works away a few days every week, and before he went, he popped a load of his used train tickets on my craft desk. One just had to feature on my journal page today, and I decided to use the lyrics from The Beatles' Day Tripper.
Just remembered the Beatles song I was trying to think of! Lol! Another ticket page coming soon. I bet you can guess which song!
Hope you've had a creative day too,
Alison xox
Sounds like ticket to ride....Lovely page. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBrilliant page -my hubby saw the Beatles when they came to Hull in 1964
ReplyDeleteCarol x
A good choice of movie and excellent words for journal-page.
ReplyDeleteLovely, colorful art.
great use of the train ticket! Gorgeous page. York isn't a bad place to have to go to work. I love it there.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, a fantastic way to use the tickets! A wonderful tribute to the beatles music and a great way to remember the film. And amazing to see this linked to AJJ! Thank you for joining in again dear Alison! Susi xxx
ReplyDeleteI have to agree what a great way to use those train tickets. I'm always finding them in my Son's pockets, well done for your Hubby taking them out before they ended up in the wash hee hee!!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing where the next ticket takes us. Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Glad you enjoyed the movie x
I've heard it's a fun movie, and now I have the Day Tripper song in my head :) Fond memories :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun page. I love how you used the song title and the ticket together. That was clever and makes a great page! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI know I'm going to get booed off the planet, but I was never a fan of the Beatles. I can't exactly pinpoint why I didn't care for them, because I am a HUGE fan of all 60s through 90s music of that genre (I've often been told I was born a generation too late). Give me Pink Floyd, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, well, you get the picture. Unfortunately, the Beatles and I never clicked. However, now that there is a resurgence of their music, like the film "Yesterday," I have decided to give them a closer look. I may even have to tell Roger Daltrey and David Gilmour they might have competition.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with your Day Tripper, if for no other reason than it was a perfect example of Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey. I really love the colors and the splatters you used, too, dear Alison.
This even looks like someone jumping in the air, Alison - great page and great idea! And I think I know which other song you're going to journal... Cath x
ReplyDeleteJust having travelled on fourteen trains in 26 days(and that's not counting Metro trains) I have lots of tickets so I will be following your lead later and going on a train...or two! Thank you so much for linking your inspiring page to my theme at AJJ! hoping we can get to see'Yesterday' although we both want to see 'Spiderman' too! Hugs, Chrisx
