Happy Mid-Week Everyone!
Is it really nearly two weeks since my last post?! Where does the time go?
I made a Spring-inspired collage in my Dina Wakley journal today, on a hessian page, using scraps, and I also tried out a new PaperArtsy stencil PS090 by Sara Naumann.
I used PaperArtsy Fresco acrylic (Slimed, Snowflake & Little Black Dress) to stencil with and add finger marks, and a white Posca paint pen to outline and splatter. The paper scraps were left over from a Dina Wakley class I took a few years ago.
Hopefully I'll be back before Easter! ;-)
Thanks for visiting,

ReplyDeleteHi, Alison! love this, it's fabulous. if I didn't do WOYWW each week, I don't think I'd blog from one month to the next (or more)
ReplyDeleteA great page on the hessian base, the pieces you added look fantastic.

Fabulous piece Alison, lots to take in and admire with those pops of colour. Amazing how hessian can give such a warm feeling, great addition to the page.

P.S Time seems to pass so quickly, it used to be days but I feel it's weeks that disappear much quicker now also... Enjoy every moment xx
I always find these burlap pages a challenge. Yours came out gorgeous. What I do like it to paint them and let the paint go through to the page underneath as it greats some great texture. (JUst can't let them dry together) Love the little birds on yours and the scalloped edge. Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteStencils look like something I'd enjoy learning about :) and your completed page sings Spring to me!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful things on this hessian page, great texture and cute birds - and I like this spots with white posca pen!
ReplyDeleteTime flies it's true!
Wish you happy days! Rike x
Time seems to fly by doesn't it, welcome back! Your page looks amazing with the Hessian and the way that you have layered the paints and stencilling on the top looks beautiful 😁. I'm loving those little birds too! Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey and I hope you are having a lovely week! Take care! J 😊 x

Love this page - definitely makes me want to go and get the DW journal out and play... Going singing tomorrow, so it will have to wait a little longer.
