AJJ - We're All...Loving Teabag Texture

Happy Friday Everyone!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts in comments on my last post. Stupid consultant's right hand doesn't know what his left hand is doing, and basically he didn't look at my records before writing! Grrrrrrr!

Anyway, I'm feeling better today, and I created another page for Chris' 'We're All/Going' theme at Art Journal Journey. It's titled 'We're all loving teabag texture', and of course there's lots of lovely used teabag papers involved.

Hope you all have a wonderful and creative weekend,

Garden Party Challenge No. 2

Hi Everyone

Garden Party Challenge no. 2 is now up on Instagram, and here are the prompts...

And here's what I came up with...

I made two cards, here's the other one...

I used collaged papers for the background and flowers, and cut butterflies from a patterned paper sheet.

Hope you're having a better day than I am...I had a rather disappointing and frustrating letter from my consultant.

AJJ - We're All Going Primary!

Happy weekend Everyone!

As promised yesterday, here's the page I made for Kim Dellow's Colour Challenge, to use primary colours.

There's a book page base with white gesso, then I used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics to create an abstract design. I'm linking up to Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey too.

Have a creative day,

AJJ - We're All Going...For A Ride

Happy Friday Everyone!

Here's another page for Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey, with some more of my Hubby's train tickets.

My arty friend Kim Dellow, who regularly inspires us with her fabulous YouTube videos, has challenged us to use primary colours HERE. I used them in the background for the above page, but I also made another page with them playing a starring role, and I'll share that with you tomorrow.

Instagram Garden Party Challenge No. 1

Hi Everyone!

I found a new challenge on Instagram, called The Garden Party Challenge, and run by Isa and Sylvie. It's a fortnightly challenge with 5 prompts to use.

For Challenge 1, the list was, a square card, insects, pink colour, script, and stitching.

I made this card for my best friend Karen's birthday, which just happens to be today.

Happy birthday dear Karen! We celebrated with a visit to National Trust property Ightham Mote in Kent. Karen took a few photos, but she hasn't shared them with me yet. I used a stamp set by Innovative Stamp Creations, and one of my previously created gel prints.

Happy Wednesday,

AJJ - We're All...Day Trippers

Hi Everyone! I made another art journal page for Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey.

Hubby and I went to see the film 'Yesterday', yesterday, in fact. We loved it, well who doesn't love The Beatles' music?! Anyway, today Hubby took the train up to York, where he works away a few days every week, and before he went, he popped a load of his used train tickets on my craft desk. One just had to feature on my journal page today, and I decided to use the lyrics from The Beatles' Day Tripper.

Just remembered the Beatles song I was trying to think of! Lol! Another ticket page coming soon. I bet you can guess which song!

Hope you've had a creative day too,

AJJ - We're All...Trying To Be Creative Every Day

Hello dear friends!

I think we'd all love to be creative every day, if only there were enough time.

After reading Elizabeth's comment on my post yesterday, I decided to use half the amount of random prompts to create another page for Chris' 'We're All/Going' theme at Art Journal Journey. Yesterday I used 12 prompts, so today I used 6. Maybe I'll try 3 tomorrow :-)

1. Add some paint dots. (Turquoise Fresco acrylic)
2. Make marks with the end of a paintbrush. (Black dots & large crosses)
3. Scribble some circles. (I used Dina Wakley pink Scribble Stick)
4. Make marks around border with a pen or pencil. (Black Posca Paint Pen crosses)
5. Draw a flower with non-dominant hand. (Black Posca Paint Pen)
6. Paint some marks with bright colours. (Orange DecoArt acrylic & Cerise Fresco acrylic)

Wishing you all a creative and happy Sunday.
