365 Somethings 2018 - Week 18 and AJJ - Flora & Fauna

Hi Everyone! We've just had the most glorious May Bank Holiday here in the UK! We spent it outside, gardening, walking and lunching with friends, and lunching with my parents in our garden. We also met our friends' sweet new Cavalier King Charles puppy Luna. She's so sweet!!! They now have two Cavaliers and a Springer, so I definitely got my dog fix! :-)

I managed to fit in creating my Week 18 set of 365 Somethings. I combined two hobbies in one, and crocheted some tiny button flowers to attached to some stamped teabags.

I got carried away with these flowers, and have a few left over. They will probably appear on a journal page, or they may become brooches. Aren't they so adorable?!

I also made an art journal page for Jo's Flora & Fauna challenge at Art Journal Journey. I spotted a photo of some Irish mountains and sheep in a newspaper, and they were perfect for my page, with added collage circles, paint and stencilled flowers.

I'm off to make some soup now, as I'm trying out the 5/2 diet for the first time, and today will hopefully be a light day. I need to lose the few pounds I gained over the Winter.

Hope you all have a lovely, creative day!

  4. Love your teabag button flowers - very cute, and the page is fabulous with all those layers. My aunt and uncle had three Cavalier King Charles dogs - they were completely loopy (the dogs, not my aunt and uncle)!

  5. I've never seen a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in person, but I know someone who has a couple and she says they are precious :) So cute!

I vote for brooches. I'd definitely wear one :) A striking accessory.

  8. I've never heard of that dog breed before, but she's a real cutie.

WOW oh WOW yet again. I am so in awe of how you come up with new and exciting ways to decorate these teabags each week. Those crocheted buttons are out of this world. I am really, really impressed. Another fabulous and exciting week of teabags and 365 somethings.

Of course, I am also pleased to read how you came up with the lovely journal page you created for Jo's theme at AJJ. The sheep were adorable, and a different take on the theme. Most impressive. Thanks so much for sharing this latest entry with us at Art Journal Journey.

  9. OMG - I adore your wonderful teabags with the crocheted button flowers so much - this is precious! And the page is out of this world beautiful!Such a fantatic painted collage! Luna is so lovely - my daughter's best girlfriend's family has a boy Cavalier King Charles since one year - he is simply amazing.
Good luck with the 5/2 diet! I am sure it will help!
I lost my first 10 kilos with intermediate fasting very quick - the second 10 kilos took me much longer since I often ate in the evening. Now since I have the desired weight I often eat nothing in the evening when I see that I gained weight again.
A wonderful entry for Art Journal Journey dear Alison!Thank you very much!
    Happy rest of the week.
    Hugs, Susi
