AJJ - Geometric Forms

 Hello Friends.

My energy levels have been low lately as I'm anemic, but I'm finally getting an iron infusion on Monday so hopefully that will help. My autoimmune hepatitis has a lot to answer for! The medication makes all my blood counts low 😒 Thankfully I can still manage a walk nearly every day, I just struggle a bit with the hills.

I've been wanting to make another art journal page for Valerie's Geometric Forms theme at Art Journal Journey, and I finally managed it.

I threw everything at this spread, using some prompt cards to get me going. It's definitely not a 'less is more' page! Lol!

Sympathy Card and a New Crochet Project

 Hello friends.

A lovely neighbour passed away recently, after losing her fight with cancer. She loved her beautiful garden, and I created an appropriate card to give to her husband.

I used some gorgeous stamps by Tracy Evans, with Distress inks.

And here is the start of a new crochet blanket I started recently. It's grown a bit since this photo was taken though 😁

I'm following a pattern by Zooty Owl. Here's a link if you're interested. I'm using some of my leftover yarn balls. It's a great way to use up scraps. I've got a lot of those! 😂

100 Days of Gelliprinting - Week 8

 Hello all.

Here are my gelliprints for week 8 of the 100 day project challenge.

Day 50 - alcohol inks 

Day 51 - more alcohol inks, dripped onto the gelliplate, then used a hairdryer to blow the inks about. Brayered some acrylic paints when the inks were dry, pressed bubble wrap into it, then took the print. Love this effect.

Day 52 - a gorgeous stencil and acrylic paint.

Day 53 - string and bubble wrap.

Day 54 - stencil.

Day 55 - Posca pen, masks and bubble wrap, with acrylic paint.

Day 56 - handmade stencils on a print with leftover edges from previous prints, then a gorgeous ghost print.

Wedding Card

 Hello friends.

A neighbour recently asked me to make a wedding card for a Hindu couple. I decided to keep it simple, using some sari inspired colours and paisley pattern. The patterned papers are by Basic Grey.

My neighbour was delighted with the card, and I hope the happy couple will be too.
