Hello Friends.
I've been on a little break from blogging, not from choice I might add.
I suffered an oesophageal bleed on the 16th Jan, ended up in hospital for a few days. I had some surgery, then came home to recover, only to find out I'd caught covid during my stay. I'm glad to say I'm recovering from the surgery and covid, but I'm getting some unpleasant side effects from the medication which is wiping me out even more.
I did make it into my studio yesterday, and got my February art journal calendar made. I'm linking my spread to Erika's Red theme at Art Journal Journey.
Here's my completed January spread.
Thanks for coming to visit me today. I shall do some visiting myself now.
Hugs,
Alison
I hope you fully recover soon Alison. It doesn't sound like January ended in a very good way for you. Thanks for getting enough energy to put together this fun calendar and to link it up to AJJ. I love the red hearts all over that pretty background. I love that background too. Thank you for linking up to AJJ, and take care. hugs-Erika

Hi Alison, sorry to hear about your health and stay in hospital, that sounds scary and worse to end up getting covid there too! Hope you will be on the mend soon. Love your heart calendar page, if I can motivate myself off the couch I will get mine done too, take care xx
ReplyDeleteOh Alison, that bleed sounds nasty, and then to get Covid on top of it. So sorry to hear this, not a good way to start a new year. Hopefully you are recovering nicely now and will soon be back to blogging fully which means you are back to full health.
ReplyDeleteLove the calendar page. Hats off to you for doing those calendars and sticking to them. I managed about five months once and thought I was great!
Look after yourself and get back to full health soon.
Hugs, Neet xx
Oh Alison, how scary! And to catch Covid on top of that, when those kinds of bleeds can be caused by violent coughing, so I sure hope you were one of the few who did not have much of that. Everyone I've talked to who has had Covid complains about the cough. And way to go Hospital, just what you needed. This is why I continue to home isolate. So relived to read you are recovering, I hope well. Prayers for you! Your two spreads are gorgeous, I hope it made you feel better to get inky. XOX
ReplyDeleteOh no! I would have thought you had enough without catching covid. I hope you will feel much better soon. Love your February page - I still have to photograph mine but after a long time in the dentists chair..long story.... just wasn't up to it. Thanks for the red hearts for Erika's AJJ theme, hugs, Chrisx

Hi Alison, I am so very sorry to hear that you had an esophageal bleed, then Covid. What a scary nightmare it must have been. I am happy to hear that you are home and recovering, but sorry to hear that your medication side effects are wiping you out. My hope is that by now you are feeling a little bit better each day. I cannot believe that you were able to make this beautiful calendar for February. And comment on my blog, too. I cannot thank you enough. Please take care and feel better soon. Hugs, Sharon
