A Green Life

A green life isn't easy. I'm trying my best though. One of the things I'm doing is leaving my car at home and walking whenever possible. My over 60's bus pass is handy too 😁

Here's a journal page I made for Art Journal Journey, using collage fodder and magazine images.

The base is a paper towel I used to mop up paint. I created a border using a gelli-printed stripey paper bag. The images are mounted onto security envelope scraps.

Thanks for visiting. Your comments are very much appreciated.

I hope you are having a blessed week.

Alison

  6. I love that gelli printed stripy bag. It makes such a cool border. I love to use mop up towels as a background. That mopping up makes them look great sometimes, doesn't it? This is another super page for BLeubeard's and Elizabeth's challenge Allison. Thanks for sharing with us. hugs-Erika

  9. It's difficult to go completely green especially when there is so much plastic out there. Even craft and artist acrylics are often not green friendly. Until the manufacturers catch up to the green movement we can only do as much as we can. I certainly applaud you for doing what you can and do.

Your use of recycled security envelopes and magazine images in your art are wonderful. I like how you layered everything over the paper towel and the gel printed paper bag. This is a super entry for Bleubeard's and my theme at Art Journal Journey, dear Alison.

  10. Those stripes just make that page perfect, Alison. Good for you trying to be green. I suppose I should feel good, been in home isolation since 3/1/2020 and haven't driven my car at all. Hubby starts it once a month so the battery doesn't go dead, lol. Good weekend to you, XOX

  13. Hi Alison, nice page today and nice sentiment. It's not easy being green (Kermit says) I try my best too. I like how the security envelope frames turned out.

  14. I too try my best to help save the planet. I get so annoyed with people who do not bother to use the recycle bins - it's an easy task and one we can all do but it seems too much bother for some folks. Good for you to give up the car when you can.
Love the page, collage is perfect for recycling.
    Hugs, Neet 10 xx
