Art Journal Calendar - September 2019

Hi Everyone!

It's a new month, and I have my September art journal pages to share today. I lay down some torn book pages to start, then used an old credit card and my fingers to apply paint. I added splashes and drips, then stencilled the journaling circles and title using PaperArtsy stencils. I finished with some white and black pen marks.

Garden Party Challenges 4 and 5

Hi Everyone. I'm here to share my recent entries for the Garden Party Instagram Challenges 4 & 5.

I used PaperArtsy Grunge Paste, stamp and stencil, some teabag texture, and a That's Crafty clock stencil.

I altered a CD, covering with book paper and teabag texture, used Carabelle Studio stamps, and PaperArtsy Infusions and Fresco paint.

I'm sorry for the lack of visits to blogs lately, but I'm just getting over a rotten cough virus. Thankfully I'm feeling a lot better. Hope you're all well, and enjoying a good start to the week.

A Single Man...

Hello Folks.

The Jane Austin fans among you might recognise the title as part of a famous quote from her book Pride and Prejudice. On today's art journal page, I used a scrap of book text from that book, although I got some paint on it and had to go over the words with a black pen...not great! Lol!

I wanted to use a few of the paper scraps on my desk, plus a couple of my many dried and emptied teabags, to make a page for Gill's Anything With Eyes theme at Art Journal Journey. Here's how it turned out...

There's some scraped on and scribbled in DecoArt Crackle Paste there too. I think it shows up better in the photo with the quote at the top of my post.

It's been a busy and sometimes stressful week, and it was good to play in my journal again.

New Home Cards

I needed to create some new home cards last week, so I pulled out some of my handy gel plate prints, and created some paper pieced and doodled houses.

This first one is for our son, who just moved flats in Manchester, to be nearer to his work. Three windows because he's sharing with a couple of guys from work. Not sure who is living in the attic!

This one's for our daughter, who is doing a 4 month placement for Rolls Royce in Friedrichshafen in Germany. Her flat is by Lake Konstance, and she's loving it there. We're going out to visit next month, and can't wait.

And this final one is for my husband's cousin & hubby, who have moved from Berkshire to Somerset, to be nearer their daughter and grandchildren.

I drew and painted some birds on a background page of leftover paint, then added some doodled circles.

Morning Folks!

Here's another page for Gill's Anything With Eyes theme at Art Journal Journey.

A layer of gesso, then DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics blues and green gold, then face sketched with Dina Wakley Night Scribble Stick, activated with a wet paintbrush. Finished with black Bombay India Ink scribbles and outlines, then splashes of black ink and white Posca Paint Pen.
