Hi Everyone!
I'm back here today with my collaged index cards for week 26. I can't believe that we're halfway through this year already! This daily challenge has definitely kept me sane in the last few months.
So, which is your favourite this week? I love the crazy stitching on 176, that was so fun to do, but the colours on 181 and 182 really sing to me.
I hope you're having a great week so far,
Thanks for visiting,

More Birthday Cards
I'm back with a couple of birthday cards today.
This one was another commission from my neighbour. I used a Crafty Individual stamp with a Brusho background.
And this card is for a lovely young man, my best friend's son, who is a very talented sewer. He's off to study textile art in September at college. I had to put some stitching on his card, and I used PaperArtsy stamps and some of my monoprints.
Thanks for dropping by,
Alison xx

More Stitching!
Hi Everyone!
Since I've started stitching on my art, I've been meaning to create another page for Halle's Stitch in Time theme at Art Journal Journey.
I discovered it's quite tricky stitching onto teabags! Just as well I don't like to be too neat!
I used stamps by Prima Finnabair and That's Crafty.
Wishing you all a happy and creative weekend,

366 Somethings - Weeks 24 and 25
Hi Everyone! I hope you're all safe and well.
It's been a busy week here for a change, I had a couple of hospital visits, and also a couple of visits from family, socially distancing in the garden of course. Our shielding at home has been extended until 31st July, but to be honest, we're quite happy being at home now. We're both natural hermits! We're enjoying our early morning walks, when it's peaceful and hardly anyone is about. I do look forward to the day when we can meet up with our children again though.
Anyway, onto my 'Somethings'. It seems that I completely forgot to share them last week, so I have 14 to show you today! Here they are, see if you can spot a couple that I used my sewing machine on. A first for me!
I hope you enjoyed my little collages. I'll definitely be sewing on them again. My sewing machine is now uncovered, dusted off, and easy to access :-)
Have a happy and creative day,

Recycled Tag Art
Hi Everyone!
I found an old piece of tag art that I made many moons ago, and as the sewing theme and maybe the age of it fitted in with Halle's Stitch in Time theme at Art Journal Journey, I decided to incorporate it in an art journal page.
I'd previously collaged some book page scraps onto the page. I scraped on some pale turquoise and green Fresco acrylics, added some black for my tag to sit on, then stamped with a Carabelle Studio faux stitching stamp. I found a fab quote online, hand wrote it with my glass dip pen and black ink, then finished with white paint splashes and metal press studs.
In the close up shot below, you can see my tag looking a bit creased and distressed at the top, from being in my scrap box for so long.
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend,

366 Somethings Week 23
Hi Everyone!
I hope you're all keeping safe and well. Things have started to relax a little here in the UK as the infection rate goes down. We are both still staying home, but have started to take very early morning walks around the local golf course and woods to avoid meeting people. It feels really good to get out for a little while.
Today I have my week 23 index card collages to share with you. Here they are.
I really like that last one with its blues and browns, and those stripes from the inside of an envelope. Do you have a favourite?

AJJ - A Stitch in Time
Hello lovely followers.
I had some messy time today, creating a page for Halle's A Stitch in Time theme at Art Journal Journey.
I made a collage background with teabags, a separated paper doily, and paper lace.
The stitched orange pieces were cut from the top of a bag of guinea pig dried herbs and grasses. I couldn't resist keeping it for Halle's theme!
I swiped some Seaglass PaperArtsy Fresco acrylic over it all, then sketched the flowers with my black Bombay ink dropper, adding some splashes of ink too.
I used a Prima France Papillon stamp for the clock faces, stamped onto an orange painted scrap.
Hope you get some arty time today also!

366 Somethings - Week 22
Hello Everyone!
I'm a little bit late with my collaged ICADS for the past week, but here they are.
This week's favourite for me is definitely 149 with that hot pink and black, and the teabag texture. Which is your favourite?
Daisy Yellow Art's annual ICAD challenge began on Monday. It runs throughout June and July, 61 days. So I'm joining in with my daily index cards for that period. There are daily themes, but it's not necessary to follow them if you don't want to. I might occasionally follow the theme. I did for no. 154, the theme of which was 'Marigold'.
I hope you're having a good week. It's been hot and sunny here until today. It's still fairly warm, but we have had a little rain, the first in a few weeks! The gardens are desperate for it.

Art Journal Calendar - June 2020
Happy new month Everyone!
Here's my art journal calendar for June, and I'm linking it to Halle's A Stitch In Time theme at Art Journal Journey.
Those are teabags in the background, and I used PaperArtsy stamps for the watch faces and words, and stencil for the title. The watch faces were stamped onto gel prints, cut out and glued onto the white stencilled circles.
I finished with doodled dots and faux stitching, and some splashes of white paint.
Thanks for visiting, hope you have a happy new week,
