365 Somethings 2020

Or as it's a leap year, 366 Somethings!

I decided to kick start my 2020 creativity by joining the daily art challenge again. I did it in 2018 with round teabag art, but for 2020, I've chosen to make collages on 6x4" index cards.

Here are my week one collages.

Most of the collages have pieces of gel prints on them, some have teabags, and they all have words cut from a single book page. I also used pieces of crackers left over from Christmas. Day one's collage has a metal piece that my daughter was throwing out, not sure if it's an earring or what?! :D

Creative wishes,

  2. I just saw this. I had no idea Hannah was doing this again this year. I should have my head shot, but I'm actually considering playing again this year. And of course, it's because of the wonderful art you have shared today on your blog. These are inspirational, and I really, really, really love them all. I should NOT have visited today. I might bite off more than I can chew if I join, but you have made me want to do so.

  6. I love your collages, Alison. There's nothing quite like working with pieces of paper, etc. and creating something unique and beautiful. I feel inspired now to dig into my stash and see what happens. Have fun! :o)

  8. I love your idea. So if I join in now I have to catch up with nine collages - no problem with the index cards, I have loads of them. I love how you use different textures to build up the layers - not something I find easy to do, but i can learn.
Thanks Alison for giving me something to think about - love what you are doing.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  10. What a wonderful week of creativity. These little collages are so pleasing, seeing shapes/scraps/patterns recurring through the week (and always the delight of a round teabag here and there). I wish I could get things kick-started at the craft table - it's coming in fits and starts at the moment - but unfortunately there's a theatre gig about to start and that's bound to eat up my time/energy. Ah well... soon!

  11. Alison you are going to have so much fun through the year creating these, what a fabulous gift and commitment to yourself. Just think of how proud you will be when you look back at them at the end of the year. Fabulous.. My favourite is the start of it all, I have so many little things I have found of my Daughters whilst cleaning out her room. Creative wishes Tracey xx
