Hi Everyone!
I have another page to share for my Recycle & Collage Challenge at Art Journal Journey.
I used Gelli Printed music paper and leaf, tea bag of course, and a receipt from Barnardo's charity shop, which I popped into this morning after coffee with a good friend. I found some sewing patterns, 29 pence each, and a couple of novels. I finished with some stamping using PaperArtsy Sara Naumann stamps.
I have some more teabags to share for week 14 of the 365 Somethings challenge. These have stencilling with acrylic paint, hand-cut painty circles, buttons and stitching on them.
I'm going to need a bigger box soon!
I'm linking up and celebrating with Elizabeth/Altered Book Lover's Tuesday T-Day!
Have a lovely day,
Alison x

ReplyDeleteThis page is just amazing Alison - I have a smile on my face now since I will visit tomorrow in the morning our nearby charity shop with my girlfriend and neighbour as well! Always looking for things that can be good for making art in any way-lol. This adorned teabags box is already a treasure!!! WOW. I started to collect now also my used coffeefilters... I think with them also can be created something special!

ReplyDeleteI am in AWE of your latest Art Journal Journey entry. Of course, I simply adore the journal page, but I especially LOVE how you used the teabag as the focal image. I also like how you doodled on the receipt. It's a great AJJ entry, dear host.
Speaking of tea bags, I am SO impressed with all the ones you have made so far, and always love it when you share your latest entries. I am always surprised when you come up with something new (a new design) each week.

I'm sorry I am so late, really late. But then... better late than never...
ReplyDeleteYour page is awesome! I immediately spotted the Bernardo's name. I always used to pop into the charity shops when I lived in the UK. You never know what you will find. Old patterns are a great find. Books are too. You read them and pass them on again. The town we lived in (Keynsham, between Bath and Bristol) had several charity shops in the High Street. Unfortunatoely Bernardo was the dingiest and smelliest of them all and I never went there much. It probably has changed now.
I love what you did with tea bags and that stamp. Really nice.
Have a wonderful weekend,
CU on Tuesday,
Lisca
More delicious teabag collaging - another lovely page.
