New Home Cards

I needed to create some new home cards last week, so I pulled out some of my handy gel plate prints, and created some paper pieced and doodled houses.

This first one is for our son, who just moved flats in Manchester, to be nearer to his work. Three windows because he's sharing with a couple of guys from work. Not sure who is living in the attic!

This one's for our daughter, who is doing a 4 month placement for Rolls Royce in Friedrichshafen in Germany. Her flat is by Lake Konstance, and she's loving it there. We're going out to visit next month, and can't wait.

And this final one is for my husband's cousin & hubby, who have moved from Berkshire to Somerset, to be nearer their daughter and grandchildren.

Here's another page for Gill's Anything With Eyes theme at Art Journal Journey.

A layer of gesso, then DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics blues and green gold, then face sketched with Dina Wakley Night Scribble Stick, activated with a wet paintbrush. Finished with black Bombay India Ink scribbles and outlines, then splashes of black ink and white Posca Paint Pen.

I'm linking up to Try It On Tuesday's Splatters and Splodges challenge also.

AJJ - We're All Going Around In Circles

Hi Everyone!

I'm squeezing in another page for Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey.

I prepped a canvas page in my Dina Wakley journal with a book page, some Seaglass Fresco Acrylic and bubble wrap printing with London Bus Fresco Acrylic. Then I grabbed some Gel Plate prints, cutting out circles, adhering, and adding scribble writing with my glass dip pen and india ink. I painted red hearts, outlined with black pen, and finished with splatters of ink.

We're All Splashing The Paint Around

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I haven't been crafting much lately, and there's a good reason. A new little guinea pig came into animal rescue a week or so ago, 3 months old Elliott.

I decided to bring Elliott home, and try to bond him with my Angus, to give him a bit of company. When I saw them sharing the wooden bridge shelter in the garden run, my heart just melted! I'm so happy :-)

I did manage to create a page last week for Try It On Tuesday's Splatters & Splodges challenge, and I'm also linking up to Chris' We're All/Going theme at Art Journal Journey. I used some prompt cards.
