A Trip To Bristol

 Hello friends.

I have an art journal page to share today. It's another entry for Erika's It's on the Calendar theme at Art Journal Journey.

Although the day on the torn piece of calendar is Tuesday, we're actually off to visit our daughter in Bristol on Friday. She has a bridesmaid dress that needs to be shortened, and needs her mother's amateur skills with a needle and thread. Hopefully we might fit in a country walk too.

I'm also linking my page to Try It On Tuesday where the theme is Add Some Text.

Thanks for dropping by,

Alison xx

  3. I love the blue and rust colors Alison.I recently used those colors for a page, and they work together so well, don't they? I love your calendar too (I wonder if I still have that tape someplace), and it's OK that it's from May and not January. It doesn't matter in the big scheme of things. Thank you for joining in again at AJJ. It is once again appreciated. And have fun visiting your daughter and I hope it's not a tough alteration on the dress. hugs-Erika

  4. Your page is signature you, Alison, with beautiful colors. Hope you have a great trip to Bristol. Have tried to keep up with Isha's damaged areas, hope it was more to the North and all is well where you and your daughter are. And that the J storm coming next doesn't impact you. Safe travels, xoxo

  5. A terrific painterly page Alison, with lots of lovely colours put together. I love the contrast of the shades of blue with the rust. The text is so bold that it makes a statement itself and is perfect.
Hope your trip went well (better than mine anyway) and you got the dress sorted.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  6. More beautiful use of colour and dramatic in design with those faded months and numbers, reminds me of old wooden crates, so effective. I hope you enjoy your family time and have success with the dress xx
