Inspired By Dina Wakley

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing a page for Gill's challenge on Art Journal Journey, that was inspired by some Dina Wakley style art that I saw on Pinterest.

I'm still working in my gelli-print journal. On this page, I added a few marks with PaperArtsy Fresco acrylic paint, a Dina Wakley stamp, chunky Lego, plastic cross-stitch aida and a tube, then I adhered teabags, a Dina Wakley stamped image, lace, ball chain and quote. I finished with a scribbled border.

  1. Fab page, great colours and a wonderful quote! Hugs, Valerie

  2. Fabulous layers and textures - love the background and quote - this is really awesome Alison.
Thanks for linking to AJJ again.
Hope you a fun day crocheting and watching tv - would that be the Christmas crafting thats been on a certain channel I wonder :)
Hot and sunny here with a breeze and glad of that to cool it down a little. The other night it was so warm that it set the smoke detector off..argh!

  3. This is so pretty and yes Gill is right - it's AWESOME! I love how pretty you played with the image and what a fantastic page with teabags and all the layers of splatters and marks! Really pretty!
And I am pleased to see it linked to AJJ dear Alison!

  5. I’ve been complaining about my gimpy keyboard for awhile, but my mouse has always worked great. That is, until today. I had to buy a new mouse just so I could maneuver between blogs. That’s why I’m really late visiting.

This latest journal page is stunning. Any time you use tea bags, I sit up and take notes. You have the best ideas when it comes to them and I simply adore what you created for us at Art Journal Journey. It's another great project.

  6. I LOVE that ball chain crown, so creative Alison. It certainly would give those Historians something to talk about hee hee!!
Fabulous and i'm yet to try that Tea!
    Hugs Tracey xx
