Hi Everyone!
Isn't it amazing that we can communicate with our loved ones wherever they may be on the planet?! Today we had a lovely chat with our daughter Beth, who's currently in Hong Kong. It warmed our hearts!
I created another art journal page for Chris' challenge '101 Ways to Keep Warm', over at Art Journal Journey.
The blue background design was printed from a carved rubber stamp that Beth made at school. She found it when she was having a clear out before she went off on her travels, and asked if I wanted it. I love how the design shows through my painted mug. I cut a teabag to fit the top of the mug, to represent my tea.
Wishing you all a wonderful week,
Alison x
Beautiful journal page and a lovely stamp from your daughter. Have a good, new week, hugs, Valerie

Nice cup of warmth! Make mine tea please. :) Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOoh, that looks very good indeed - warming and cosy, and just right for celebrating hearing from Beth. Hope she's having a great time in Hong Kong. I recommend the cable car to the Lantau Island Buddha, then take the bus to Tai O fishing village and a ferry home to Hong Kong harbour - amazing all round!

What a fantastic page - the blue/red colour combination is so beautiful in addition to this lovey pattern of your daughter's selfcarved stamp! So good to have the possibility to communicate via skype - good to hear and see what she is up to!
ReplyDeleteHave a great new week Alison and thank you very much for this beautiful artsy page for AJJ!♥

That is a fabulous AJJ entry. It is beautiful and even more incredible thanks to the stamp your daughter carved. I love how the cup pops off the page and the wonderful shadow you created.
ReplyDeletePlease feel free to join us with this beauty at T Stands For Tuesday, too.
a cup of warmth- my thoughts along this theme recently too:) So glad you can connect with your daughter who is so far away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous cup of tea page you created! I love the carved stamp that Beth made and it's use makes this page even more special with the memories you added and your references to video calls - perfect! The way the design shows through the mug is stunning and the piece of teabag is a wonderful touch, so clever 😁. The rosy "Rosie Lee" red colour adds such warmth to the page too - beautiful 😁. Hope you had a lovely weekend and wishing you a great week! J 😊
ReplyDeleteSuper page. The patterns gives a fab effect showing through onto the mug. What a talented family you are.
