February Journal Recipe Instagram Challenge

 Hello Everyone.

Towards the end of last year, my online friend Shilpa Nagaronkar asked me if I'd like to do an Instagram challenge collaboration with her.

Shilpa and I have known each other for about 10 years, since we were on The Artistic Stamper design team.

I agreed to the challenge at once, and came up with some prompts and a title. We decided to do a February challenge. Unfortunately, Shilpa got Covid in January, so we're a little late in starting, and today is Day One.

Day One's prompts are...

The colour red,

Square shapes,

Paint some lines,

and Use watercolours.

If you use Instagram and you'd like to join in, the hashtag is februaryjournalrecipe.

Here's my page for Day One's challenge.

I made an abstract style page, and I'm linking it to Elizabeth and Bleubeard's What's Your Style theme at Art Journal Journey.

Thanks for visiting me today.

Alison

  2. This is great Alison. I'm not on Instagram so will you run this challenge in blogland? I love the big red squares. They pop off the other design images you used. And it is your style. Thanks for sharing over at AJJ for Elizabeth's challenge. This page is your style. Hugs-Erika

  5. I absolutely adore this, Alison. I would LOVE to do abstracts as well as you. You have a real gift for them and this is truly your style. Thanks, too, for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey featuring Bleubeard's and my theme. SO glad you shared this here, since I am not on Instagram.

BTW, sorry to read about Shilpa. I have always liked her dramatic and commanding use of white space.
