Wanderlust Live with Carolyn Dube

Hello All.

In her Wanderlust Live class, Carolyn Dube invited us to forget all the rules of art that we think we should follow. In this YouTube free live class Carolyn asked the 'audience' to suggest what she should use on her page. I followed along with the same steps and created a page I wasn't in love with, but you don't always have to love your art, just enjoy the process.

I added some gear details to the right hand of my spread for Neet's In Gear theme at Art Journal Journey. A generous friend gave me the die cuts that I used.

Thanks for visiting,

Alison

  1. I love this page and adding that gear butterfly makes it even better. I have that die cut too. I like that gear man hiding in the background. It's a great page for Neet's challenge. Thanks for joining us. hugs-Erika

  4. Such an array of colours, I like it! One thing that intrigues me is the man standing on the left. He is kind of there but hidden and I think it looks fabulous. Love the steampunky butterfly, what a fabulous friend you have to give you that and the other gears.
Thanks so much Alison for joining in again with my theme at AJJ.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  6. Gorgeous page! The colours are so pretty with all that the texture. I know what you mean I create pages I'm not keen on either and found other people like them 😁. Take care and happy wishes ❤️. Hugs, Jo x

  8. You did several techniques and experimenting, and it makes a fine practice page. I totally agree with enjoying the process. The practice is important and sometimes gets thwarted by the need for a finished product that "we like". I suffer from it for sure, been thinking about naming one of my journals The Practice Journal so I can give myself permission, xoxo
